moniker Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Either pick Rayudu and trust him to do the job, or don't pick him and include some other batsman. Though it's clear that Rayudu couldn't have done **** anyway, protecting him from strike as if he's a tailender is so wrong.
panesarv Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 dhobi trying to be a hero....up his brand value..
undisputed chap Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Dhoni should have taken those singles. Rayudu is not the best slogger of fast bowlers but still it was unfair to rayudu.
Laaloo Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Either pick Rayudu and trust him to do the job' date=' or don't pick him and include some other batsman. Though it's clear that Rayudu couldn't have done **** anyway, protecting him from strike as if he's a tailender is so wrong.[/quote'] right on all counts on dhonis decision and rayadus ineptness obviously you will be labeled as a dhoni hater by the dhoni chamchas here and if they have nothing else to say, there is always 'oh it was a meaningless game' cliche
yoda Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Not sure how anyone can defend Dhoni's tactics towards the end. I can't imagine anyone refusing a single to a non-tail ender in that situation.
vvvslaxman Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 17 was a steep task . But Tony hoped for his customary last over finish. 4 balls 12.. He was doing alright. Last 2 balls his plan didn't work out. India should have had something like 10 runs in the last over.
gaurav92 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Dhoni tried to be a hero of the match and he needed some good number of runs in the last over to chase in order to become a hero after Kohli's heroics, he got what he wanted but unfortunately for him couldn't pull it off. Now, he deserves every bit of banter he is getting. Sending Jaddu ahead of Rayudu and then refusing to take singles is simply insane. If he did not trust Rayudu, why did he not send Ashwin? Tomorrow if Kohli or Raina misses a couple of balls, will Dhoni say I don't trust them? The thing here is that Rayudu is a good finisher and has been good for MI hitting crucial runs in the end overs, why not trust him?

gaurav92 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Well thats not the first time he has done that. Taking an easy game to the last over and **** in his pants.
Marco Polo Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Hackadu reminds me of Indian cricketers of 90s. Shib sundar das...yep, he reminds me of that guy..
bowl_out Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 CI Headlines reads "India fall short despite Dhoni, Kohli" It should have instead said "India falls short because of Dhoni, Rayudu" :giggle:
Yoda-esque Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 CI Headlines reads "India fall short despite Dhoni, Kohli" It should have instead said "India falls short because of Dhoni, Rayudu" :giggle: Wouldn't they know better?
GautiMaan Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Rayudu had just come in to bat and when batting at 6 or 7, it is very difficult for a batsman to come in and play shots straight away, especially for a top-order batsman like Rayudu, who is not used to such situations Hasnt Rayudu finished many games for MI,its not like he's an opener, bats at 4 or 5. If anyone should have been off strike in the last few overs its Dhoni, has he ever won a t20 game for India?Pathetic strike rate of 115 as well
Debutant Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 When Kohli got out the target was quite achievable but ******** Dhoni started his tuk tuk. IIRC he had around 100 strike rate till the 19th over. And these idiot Dhoni cheerleaders have the audacity of blaming Rayudu just for 2 dot ball( One of which was courtesy to *******pa from kamina Dhoni to refuse a single  ). We would never had a situation of scoring 16 runs from the last over had it not for the pathetic batting from Dhoni.
King Tendulkar Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Not sure how anyone can defend Dhoni's tactics towards the end. I can't imagine anyone refusing a single to a non-tail ender in that situation. O they will try, till the last breath they will defend every single act of his. Every single act!! They have not even muttered one criticism of his tactics etc for years. Apparently every thing he does is 100% utterly perfect
CG Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Dhoni has become so selfish he puts himself ahead of team.Atleast last 2 balls he should have taken a single and last ball we would have needed 4 runs which is easier than 5 and 3 to tie.The guy always wants to be in the limelight.
Insidious Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 cric info headline is baffling India fall short despite Dhoni, Kohli while Ibn nailed it Dhoni's poor judgement cost India T20 against England http://ibnlive.in.com/news/cricketnext/dhonis-poor-judgement-cost-india-t20-against-england/497172-78.html cricinfo is on seenu mama payroll lol
Crookbond Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Dhoni didn't intentionally take this game to the last over like he has done in the past. He was hitting but hardly connecting - overall, he's a poor T20 player.
G_B_ Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 i think he should have given Rayadu the strike what was riding on this match? nothing. Its a meaningless end of season T20. So Rayadu would have failed. you atleadt come to know something about him. The entire point of these games is you dont have to experiment in the WC.
