Eh, how did Dhoni became the T20 captain then? And why was his test form not considered when being made test captain? What was Dhoni's overseas records then and why do we need to look at performances of Pujara, Kohli based on one overseas tour when this was not considered for Dhoni? So many questions, so little answers And your Asia cup example, Dhoni has lost many Asia cups too so really don't understand your point on judging Kohli based on one last over loss when India even lost to Bangladesh in Asia cup under Dhoni
Pls dhoni had shown enough maturity. Even seniors like sachin, etc had advocated him as a future captain. While kohli often acts like a thug on the field. Frequently abusing his own team mates, abusing opposition players, abusing the crowd, showing the middle finger to the crowd during the , etc & many gems like these . When not doing these antics is often caught day dreaming on the ffield dropping dollies whiile still being nothing special with the bat.

Lol looks like umesh supporters have nothing to say about his mediocre performances. Lol keep blaming the government, bcci, selectors, dhoni, flat pitches, bad luck, etc. Nothing is going to change the average of 40+ with ER of 6+

Yea Umesh has terrible record in ODIs. But why are you keeping mum on his test record. Nothing is going to change 5 atrocious overseas series as captain. To lose a series is bad.. to come back with so many innings defeats is off-the-charts-suck .

Last time i checked this is a thread about umesh. So according to you only dhoni is responsible for overseas defeats while rest of team was filled with world beaters. Ok . There is a reason why flemming, lara, etc have such bad records overseas. Unless you guys take off your dhoni hate tinted glasses you guys will never see it.

You have to stop your Tony love first and accept what a ridiculous captain he is. He is one of the reason his career is in such shape. Two whole series he was warming the bench. NZ is known for buckling against raw pace bowlers. What did our Kaptaan do. Didn't even give him chance . Basically he warmed the bench for 4 tests in a row overseas. Then he gets booted out from next series without even playing a test. Thankfully that old man Zak has gone. otehrwise Bhuvaneswar would have been warming the bench as well like he did in the two previous series. This is only a sample. If we start going into dig his on field tactics, field placing, bowling rotation then there will be lot of filth will be coming out.

I remember India dropped like 10 chances .in Rawalpindi test . India still went on to win the test with rookie bowlers. In every test there are little incidents that will alter the course. Using that excuse you can lose 100 out of 100 tests as captain and still continue.

It's absolutely mind boggling as to how this people find no fault, not a single one in tony singh. Granted, us 'haters' go overboard and may blame him for a lot more than what it really is, but seriously no blame on tony. I think it's time to ignore these clowns.

No, India won't win every test match just because Dhoni isn't around. But we can expect a captain that utilises his bowlers better and puts up a fight, not the listless performances that we see currently.

Any organization, any team, captain HAS to take ultimate responsibility. Otherwise he is not a leader, just a leech

^^^ Yep' date=' you give a player a million chances. You discourage another right from day 1. Jadeja and Umesh as examples. And Dhoni fans will say he is proved right[/quote'] chalk and cheese 1)Jaddu was always economical.Umesh sucks both in ER and average 2)He had batting and fielding to fall back to.Not for Umesh.Specialists would obviously have lesser margin of error 3.)Jaddu was dropped in 2010.It didnt break his kaanphidence and he made a comeback in 2012 only after playing a full Ranji season and topping both bowling and batting charts. Umesh OTOH hasnt even played a full FC season let alone doing well.Yet hes in the squad. So unlucky 4)After comeback,Jaddu improved in both aspects, specially bowling as he played a crucial role in CT and became our highest ranked bowler.Umesh still gets spanked by BD in favourable conditions

Dude I have been a big supporter of umesh as well and I know this is a troll thread but from the last few outings umesh has certainly not helped his cause and yes selectors are partly to blame for playing him in a format he is not suited for. I always rated umesh over Aaron as well but here is the deal, umesh has looked ordinary in the last few loi outings he has had and I am not even basing this on the tamasha game. Dhonis favoritism and selectors incompetence has totally destroyed him and now we are at a stage where umesh has regressed and dhoni fans are saying he is right. Yes umesh looks ordinary now but dhoni is to blame for what has happened....but having said that slowly losing hope for him and for that at least umesh is to be blamed.
Last few odis. How many overs in how many spells???? No pacer would perform with that tactics Looks like dhoni succedded. Wanted to wreck yadav and pull wool over sucker fans eyes. Mission completed by dhoni! We will never know what yadav could have been. Will never know if was the man or not. Dhoni killed yadav, its over for him and sadly he knows it himslef

Jaadeja been awful in tests. Yet played, backed , supported. Jaddu confidence not broken in 2010:hysterical: CSK dhoni was constantly telling him , any given moment will get your csk **** back in indian set up.

^Why does he gets ignored in tests ? he was our best bet in the longer format when he was around' date=' the bowler we could bank on picking wks like shami in odis[/quote'] yeah he should be playing Tests no doubt. However Ishant has suddenly found form and Zak was selected for seniority. His comeback messed things up:facepalm:Bhuvi did well too. Anyway I am quite hopefu,l he'll play in Aus after good A tour. However he shouldnt play ODIs
