vvvslaxman Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Tony singh strikes again Ya.. pompous guy.. first blew up the Jaddu issue because he was called fat f*** .. :cantstop: Underunsed Binny to prove a point to someone we don't know . A giant ego.
mancalledsting Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 http://www.indiatvnews.com/sports/cricket/mahendra-singh-dhoni-hyderabadi-biryani-csk-champions-league-13049.html "We don't know if biryani was the cause of the shift. I'm told Dhoni was not happy with the hotel," an official said. Eventually, the entire team with Dhoni was shifted to hotel Grand Kakatiya, where 180 rooms were booked for the team, support staff and board officials. Grand Kakatiya, however, has strict rules against consumption of outside food in the hotel premises. In this case the management was, a source said, willing to relent a bit and let the players partake the biryani in their rooms. But Dhoni was adamant on using the board room. That's when the hotel put its foot down. Abruptly, keeping the security reasons on priority list, the local police was called to have a security check at the hotel. either way I think further investigation into this highly urgent and significant matter is warranted
Marco Polo Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 What about players doing a little sacrifice? Why expect the hotel management to change why not pompous ass Dhoni? Being a celebrity you expect to behave with certain dignity . People share pictures of actors standing in line for voting . Why? Because they like celebrities who act like common people. This hero worshipping mentality has to stop. The hotel needs customers not the other way around. You can always go an extra mile to make the customer happy. Yes, dhoni could have behaved responsibly, but just because he is a cricketer and captain doesn't mean he can't get angry at the hotel management for not making an exception to satisfy their customer.
RedFever Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Fauf duplessi ' date=' McCullum must be cursing Dhoni :cantstop:[/quote'] atleast they got to eat Rayudu's biryani :icflove:

Customers who respect the hotel policies. Not jack asses.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Customers who respect the hotel policies. Not jack asses. Actually customers who can fill 180 rooms.
velu Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Customers who respect the hotel policies. Not jack asses. you talk like samsung management about polices and process :hehe: our VP use use to say that , this is the process/policy and we have to follow .. but those process will be absurd in the first place
vvvslaxman Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Actually customers who can fill 180 rooms. So what? Hotel gives two hoots about it. Go to any smallest roadside hotel and go with your home food and eat let us see the reaction. This is basic decency . You walk into a 5 star hotel with home made pappad, samosa, biriyani , rice, sambar etc and you expect them to let you sit and eat there.

Moved out of that place to Taj which was willing to make exceptions.ITCs financial loss Tajs gain.Dhoni ate his biriyani anyways.ITC lost a few crores and probably will lose hundred more in future.Good for them.

Not every hotel has to make that exception. Taj doesn't depend on Dhoni. Last i know they started before DHoni became a cricketer.
maniac Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Not every hotel has to make that exception. Taj doesn't depend on Dhoni. Last i know they started before DHoni became a cricketer. Also it is a great PR for them and to add, Also the 'no exception rule' will make it a preferred choice,I mean I would rather stay in a hotel that treats everybody the same than the one that makes "exceptions"
Malcolm Merlyn Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Not every hotel has to make that exception. Taj doesn't depend on Dhoni. Last i know they started before DHoni became a cricketer. As you see they shifted to Taj from ITC so its ITC losing business from the biggest sporting body in India.Dhoni had his Biriyani at Taj.He left 1 5star and got another.ITC lost good money.
Zap_Brannigan Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Both are in the wrong. Dhoni is right to change hotels but not without getting the consent from the security guys. If it was going to be a nightmare then he shouldnt have forced the move. The hotel meanwhile, if anyone says to me that they are magnanimous in allowing me to eat anything in a room i am paying for, i will never set foot in that hotel again. There shouldnt even be a policy governing what i can and cannot eat inside my room.

If you are going to bend rules for money then it is not 5 star hotel it is 3rd rate lodge. Forget about allowing or not. What kind of an idiot would even think of taking food from outside to five star restaurant and eat there whether they allow or not :cantstop: .
mancalledsting Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 This will go down in the annals as Biriyani- gate!!
aceofbase Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Dhoni has nothing to lose here..I am sure ITC is repenting for its mistake..
vvvslaxman Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Dhoni has nothing to lose here..I am sure ITC is repenting for its mistake.. Dhoni could note at biriyani at hotel so he lost to hotel there :cantstop:
