Do we really need the 'doosra'?

So now the king cheats Ajmal, Senanayake, Gazi, Narine and Utseya are banned, the 'doosra' is on the way out, because it is impossible to bowl without chucking, with the possible exception of Saqlain Mustaq, who even he may be suspect. Some stupid people say the doosra should be legalized because it raises the challenge for the batsman, but since Mendis/Herath invented the carrom ball, which Ashwin has made even better why do we need this cheater ball doosra? The offspinner how has three variations: the off break, the arm ball and the carrom ball. They do not need a cheating ball.

1. No they just chuck. 2. I don't think Murali was legal. 3. We don't actually know what Iverson bowled other than it was some kind of flicking motion. There is no footage good enough to judge. Herath is the first definite carrom ball bowler 4. I didn't know -can you show me some evidence 5. I consider the three varieties of offie you mention to all be off breaks, the arm ball and slider are basically the same thing and the Carrom ball is it's own thing. We can debate semantics if you wish.

Prasanna had a distinct away going delivery. 5. arm ball and slider are different. arm ball is bowled by undercutting spin or as a seamer. slider is ahard backspun delivery.

If Murli could bowl the doosra legally that does not mean everyone can. If Murli bowled without chucking that means he abnormal wrist and shoulder rotations.

Grrr.... what was I thinking? Yes, carom ball is what I wanted to say but wrote douser. Did Iverson bowl a doosra? I don't think so.

I think it is very much possible to bowl a doosra without resorting to throwing. However I'm more interested in reviving the art of classical offspin bowling. Need spinners who can spin the ball at a good pace. The doosra has to be used very sparingly as it is difficult to bowl it with pace making it easier to play.

Currently, Indian team doesn't have good spinner who can bowl PEHLA. Dushra is next level skill.
