Repercussions of WI pullout - we are set for a major ass-whooping in OZ land?

Jayasuriya has been saying the ODIs will be a test for fringe players - perhaps an informal agreement should be made to play almost A teams so that the seniors can play FC cricket instead - that would be a better prep for the test series at least.

as far as i am aware the odi series finishes on the 15th of November the first test starts 4th December. So that gives India chance for more warn up games in Aus right?

IMO....India will be better off in Oz without WI Test series. With WI test series, easy victory could have covered the huge potholes in the team and could have inflated the expectation. Now we can atleast have 1st Test lasting 5 days, 4 days for 2nd and 3rd Test and then 3 days of Test for the remaining. Off course we will see the same XI in all the Test.

+1 With lots of positives from English tour I second your thoughts ...also may be we can avoid innings defeat in 1 out of 4 test but for sure last 2-3 test will be absolute @ss whopping. I would propose Aussies send their school boys to play the last test !

This will be the tour we will all talk about years down the line. Have a good feeling. It will be a brilliant hard fought series like 2003-04
That had the brilliance of Dravid, Laxman, Tendulkar and Sehwag, along with a nippy Agarkar's lucky day. This 11 that we play against Aus is totally bakwaas.

I have no idea why anyone is worried how the national team does on the pitch. Yes we will get massacred by aussies but who cares, as end of the day they need our money and we control the world game off the pitch. What an amazing feeling that is. Its also brilliant to see us bring winidies cricket to its knees, which already was impoverished!! Truly makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck and sends goose bumps all over me. I used to get this feeling when India won major game and trophies. But now have realised thanks to posters here that this was silly. Possibly bankrupting windies cricket and hopefully wiping their cricket from planet earth is the stuff really to be proud off! Wow what power we have, so exciting for us fans! As a fan not bothered about the actual cricket game and how team does. As end of the day can just brag how much money Indian cricket has and how we have more money then other boards and how we control the worldsl game cos our $$$$ are needed. I mean we get ass raped on the pitch but when others taunt me on this I have amazing satisfaction in saying yes we suck as a team but look how rich indiuan cricket is, the feeling I get when I say this after we have been thrashed on the pitch is spine tingling, it feels like I actually have all that money in my personal bank account!! Added bonus is that we may get to kill world cricket and just play IPL and make more money. Being aole to bully all and sundry is so enchanting. Truly a thrilling feeling for any indian fan to know we have that much power and can start to not play anyone else (IPL whhhhoooopy) apart from our selves. Literally getting a semi at the thought of seeing pathan brothers play all the time, a sight not seen on world stage.
