Bcci cancel all series with west indies till 2022

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) working committee on Tuesday decided to cancel all series with West Indies till 2022 after the latter pulled out recently from the 5-match ODI series. The BCCI was unhappy with the West Indies Cricket Board as it has faced a loss of Rs 400 crores after the visitors pulled out and returned to their country. The Dwayne Bravo-led side had decided to abruptly end the series after playing the fourth ODI, leaving the Indian board and fans high and dry as the fifth ODI, a one-off-T20 and 3 Tests were yet to be played. Though Sri Lanka agreed to play a five-match ODI series and fill the void left by the West Indies but the BCCI was really miffed with the attitude of the Caribbean players and some hard actions can't be ruled out as far as their playing in the IPL is concerned. The BCCI had swung into action by calling an emergency working committee meeting on October 21 in Hyderabad to discuss the issue. "Yes, we have called an emergency meeting in Hyderabad on the 21st to discuss the West Indies issue and see what we can do about it," BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla had said.

The board also gets a certain percent of players income know ? So I doubt they'll do that with their current financial position but BCCI might ban those 15 players!

How will WICB earns its money now. And how will it pay to keep all the infrastructure & payment for 1st class cricketers going now. Off course the WI players who boycotted the series because they were underpaid will not care. They haven't for the last 10 years, so why now. They have enough money from IPL, Big Bash & other such leagues that their next 10 generations don't have to work. But they still want more. They don't care if WI cricket is destroyed. If WICB pull up the NOC for these players participation in the IPL...they will simply retire so that their lust for more money can be satisfied...damm the WI cricket. They should just do that now & save the drama at that time.

Revenue from Broadcaster which is 30 crores per day. BCCI lost 17 days of cricket means about 500 crores which is a huge amount. This is the source of earning for BCCI and India do not have any more home matches this season, so no earning for BCCI this season. Anyone will be annoyed in such a situation. It is easy for you to say to avoid such series on TV, but such series are what earn players their salaries.

Lol! there's a reason why even the ugliest of matches india play gets a stadium full of crowd. Indians will watch their team play against any team.
