Desi Cartman Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Surprisingly I have never cared for him enough to figure out if he is likeable or not.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Can't stand him. Wasim is a far more likable person than that scum. Check your PM.
veer Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 The man has done a lot of humanitarian work for Pakistani people. But his attitude towards Indian cricket makes me bloody sick. Bloody scum!!! And why do you want him to praise Indian cricket? He is a nationalist.. just like Modi is nationalist.. If you ask me, he is a good guy but his whole ideology is twisted.. He is trying to make progress in pakistan but doesnt want to piss of "good talibans".. One of very few hopes that pakistan have in him..
bones Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 As a politician about 2 years ago he was saying the right things mostly and moving the right way, but he's ended up looking very foolish since. As a cricket player and as a captain he towers over most other cricketers. Statistically he is in the top 5 cricketers of all time and for me that's all that matters. Indian fans and this thread is an example, will find many ways to degrade him, but stats wise of the big 4 he towers above the other 3. I used to think it was close, given how everyone talked up the great era of all-rounders, but looking at the stats, Imran Khan's stats are so emphatic only an idiot would try and argue one of the other three to be better. As a man, he has many faults, some of what he did in his youth is disgraceful, but many people are like that in their youth. However he still has the chance to redeem himself and even change the policies his party has.
Vilander Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 he is a paki. Pakistani public figures i like top of the mind are 1, Hassan Nissar ( sincere respect for this man)2, Nijam Sethi 3, Wasim Akram
Number Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Neither like nor dislike. I would love to have a cricketer like him in my team. The best bowler from subcontinent, arguably the greatest all rounder of all time and a great captain. Since he is a Pakistani politician, I expect him to say no good things for India. However, from his interviews I see that he has respect for the Indian democracy. At large, I find him extremely absurd as a politician, though I would still vote for him, if I am a Pakistani.
AmreekanDesi Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 My or your opinion doesnt matter as the world in general admires him but a few things I have noticed: 1) Everyone clued up says that he is one of the greatest cricketers of all time as well as being among the most inspiring captains. 2) Has done a lot of humanitarian work for the poor and needy and at a grand scale which is very commendable. 3) Seems to be very sincere and truly appears to love his country. If there was an Indian with the same qualities and who could fulfill the same criteria i would love him to bits. But on a personal level: He does seem to have some backward thinking in regards to Pashtuns being some kind of superior race
AmreekanDesi Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 also on many occassions i have seen him admire indian democracy and compliment the work of modi and nitesh kumar so he cant be all that india-hating.
Sooda Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 He was an idiot! no doubt about it. He was a horrible analyst as well. He thought he knew it all ! When he was asked long ago, how Indian cricket would improve, he suggested that India should reduce its Ranji Teams to a few so they can be competitive. I am glad BCCI did not listen to him and instead went the other way round, and of course results are there for us to see -- where in we now have cricketers from remote locations playing national cricket . Alot of people have suggested this - essentially having the Zonal competition as the main one having each team play each other twice if not more and then semis and a final, with a state level tourno feeding the zone teams. There is merit in that, right now the Ranji season is far too cramped with some meaningless tournos
Kalia_Test Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 He is the guy that shares stage with Hafiz Sayid in Pakistan.... He is a terrorist sympathizer....:finger:
beetle Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 This bastard has a daughter out of wedlock from his non religious days...and doesn't have the guts to accept her. What kind of a low life scum bag doesn't accept his own child(ND tiwari comes to mind)? The lowest of the scumbags. Not to mention his emotional support to terrorists of the worst kinds. Sick @#$%^^!!!!
India-KXIP fan Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Don't really care how the person is like. Regardless of whatever crimes he has commited, for whatever reason he is not a good person what matters are his numbers and achievements in cricket. Quite amazing his numbers as an allrounder and leading Pak to win in a WC in Aus. Huge achievement
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 he propogated good taliban and bad taliban, otherwise he is fine

Not to mention his emotional support to terrorists of the worst kinds. Sick @#$%^^!!!! Imran Khan was not born out of wedlock, so he is not a bastard lol. As for the lowest of all scumbags, if he is the lowest of all scumbags, where do you put the terrorists who killed those children a few days ago, or the ones involved in the Mumbail attacks? He might be a bad man, maybe a lying father, but he's not as bad as you make out. He didn't support terrorists, he wanted negotiations with them, much different. So a politician wants to discuss Kashmiri matters with Pakistan, would that mean he supports the Pakistani regime? Nope. It just means he wants to talk. In this case, Imran Khan got it wrong, we've since discovered the Taliban cannot be negotiated with.
beetle Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 ^^^Yes...terrorist top the list...but a man who will deny his own child is pretty low in my eyes. There is no rejection bigger than a parent rejecting the existence of ones own child . No child deserves that. And for what???....some loss of face in society. There is no bigger coward than a person who will not accept his own flesh and blood. As for the word Bastard...in our country,no child is legally illegitimate....only parents and their relationship are....hence.....his child is not the one one who is a bastard,he is.

Well in your country, the definition is wrong, or you need to use another word. The rest of the world knows the word bastard is in reference to a child. Not that it should be used as at all, as it's very bad.
beetle Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 But isn't it better to give names to a parent who brings a child into this world out of wedlock(and rejects the baby)than the poor child who has no fault?
bones Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 But isn't it better to give names to a parent who brings a child into this world out of wedlock(and rejects the baby)than the poor child who has no fault? That's not the point, the point is you're dumb as horse ****, you don't even know the meaning of the word you're using to abuse him.

Where are you pulling all this BS about him "rejecting" his daughter? You do know that he fully supports her and provides for her right? Do you want him to come on tv and parade her around? What has his personal life got to do with his views?
Pioneer Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Regarding IK. I travelled thousands of miles to vote for him in 2013. And if you give me the choice I probably would do it again. He has realised most of the core issues of the Pakistan system. The way the feudals control all the power, the deadlock in the electoral system, lack of education etc etc. His philanthropic work has been exemplary as well. However where he loses the plot is in his stance against militancy. The guy still think these mofos haramzaday sewer kay bachay are still our "brothers" that can be negotiated with. He thinks that we can isolate the extremists from the non-extreme elements of the militants. I find that a stupid policy. They are all in cahoots with one another. Give space to the Afghan Taliban, they will in turn give space to the TTP, its all part of the same *****storm. He needs to realize that they are snakes, they have showed time and time again they do not abide by peace treaties, rather they use them as breathing space to gain strength. They want to impose their twisted version of Islam on the country and the day they are strong enough, IK will be next on their list and the quicker he realizes that the better for him it will be.
