I was having this debate with a few of my friends. I have always admired Imran Khan, the cricketer. He was a champion cricketer, won't deny it. But I have always despised him as a person. The guy has done a lot for the poor and unprivileged Pakistani people. But my dislike for him stems from his attitude towards India and Indian cricket. I won't go into details, but I don't like him. I'd like to know the opinion of my fellow posters. Do you like the man? If not, why?

both the famous pathans - afridi n imran are unlikable bigots like the vast majority of pakis. The difference between the two is that afridi knows inside of him that he is not very bright. imran, on the other hand, thinks too highly of himself. wasim akram is a cool likable guy among paki public figures.

No,Hate the smug look on his face...Biggest 2 faced dumb **** on the planet. Back in the 80's Imran used to tell his teammates,to give their wickets to anyone but not Kapil Dev...kept a track of Kapil's progress when on the other hand Kapil Dev never gave a Fk....Having said that imran has done more for Pak cricket than Kapil has for indian cricket(apart from on field accomplishments) but still shows how jealous this ***** was. Idiots believe Imran khan is some kind of a man of the masses lol when the fact is this guy still lives in the 1930's and 1940;s,running around to be accepted by the British Social elite...tries to be one of them....Just compare it to Indian legends be it Kapil,Sachin,Sunny etc who have that Indian-ness about them this guy strives to be accepted by the British -WTF is it 1938 still lol.....No wonder he was called IM the Dim back in the day(Source:Salman Rushdie) In India we have hundreds of thounsands if not millions of western educated people be it Harvard,Oxford,Camebridge,Yale or even prestigious indian institutes like IIM or IIT but for some reason Pakis just because this guy passed out of Oxford(Or is it Camebridge?? ) seem to think he is the smartest man on the planet due to that :hysterical: what is his political ideology despite being in political scene for quiet some time now? Ok I went this far without even bringing up the bottle caps and ball tampering.....Just hate this arrogant tool. ANother examples of his smug look being wiped out...during 2011 pre wc show,he was beating around the bush to answer who were the favorites when obviously given home conditions and even on paper India were the clear cut favorites.......Never saw the follow up after Pak lost the game...wanted to see the smirk wiped out of his face :whine: Remember the Venkatesh Prasad-Sohail incident.....Just a ball before he was talking how aggressive and competitive Sohail was and much like his political carrer changed his tune immediately when Venky owned not just Sohail but this tool as well :hail: for that reason alone Venky despite putting my teenage and youth through all that tortures against Jayasuriya and co,will always have a special place :icflove: ANyways for now Rant over....might be back with soon.

I respect him as a cricketer' date=' but his attitude towards India and Indian cricket stinks. That's the reason I don't like him.[/quote'] He was an idiot! no doubt about it. He was a horrible analyst as well. He thought he knew it all ! When he was asked long ago, how Indian cricket would improve, he suggested that India should reduce its Ranji Teams to a few so they can be competitive. I am glad BCCI did not listen to him and instead went the other way round, and of course results are there for us to see -- where in we now have cricketers from remote locations playing national cricket .

It was a joke when he said that Fatzamam was better than Sachin back in 2001. Back then Sachin was averaging close to 58 while Fatzamam was averaging around 42 It would be equivalent to an Indian cricketer rating Zaheer Khan better than Wasim Akram. I have always loathed Imran Khan, the person. He has, and will always be a nimrod.

No dont like him for his politics and cricket analysis. I remember some journalist asked him to compare bhuvi and junaid both were debuting at same time. He didnt even answer properly.. I didnt watch him live. But his stats look good. He has done some good social work for the cancer hospital. But everything goes out of the window when he supports the bad guys. Him and Afridi come across as people who think they are great because they are pathans. As a Irish comedian mentions it just a biological mistake that they are born pathan doesnt mean jack.

Shrewd, canniving, arrogant, fake, jealous, snobbish are the words that come to my mind when discussing Imran. He himself admitted once that he grew up hating India. And that Alu Sachin comparision, even Pakis know deep inside their hearts that Alu isn't fit to clean the dust from Sachin's shoes. In politics he is the Kejriwal of Pakiland.

I don't like him one bit. When 26/11 happened, he was on CNN ibn channel and made fun of Indian army and NSG for taking 3 days to complete the operations in Taj hotel. I was like WTH man!!!. He was a big supporter of TTP (those who killed the innocent kids) . He supports bringing Shariah law in Pakistan. For me, he is just a Mullah in disguise.
