Malcolm Merlyn Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 bjp have been crushed in kashmir valley i looked at the election results constituency wise and in most places they are 4th. Supposed star campaigner Hina Bhat got 1300 votes. Like it or not only the congress and national conference have the ability to get 44 seats in kashmir. PDP is range bound in Kashmir while the BJP appears to be range bound in Jammu. Both the Congress and the NC have a spread vote across the regions. The lesson for the BJP in this election is forget Kashmir and concentrate on Jammu and Ladakh especially with 41 seats. The BJP won all its 25 seats with a comfortable margin and is second in about 6 more seats. Thats 31 seats in total. Add another 2 seats from the Ladakh region and probably 33 seats where the BJP put up a good show. Valley will never vote for BJP thats pretty sure except for a few areas. As long as BJP dominates Jammu and can take away Ladakh it will be a force in J and K and will get enough RS seats from there.
game_changerr Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 jvm likely to merge with bjp@aaj tak......wats the need now
diga Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 hahahhahaha. Omar Abdullah lost. NDTV. :hehe: Haseeb Drabu from PDP wins.. isnt he the husband of Burkha Dutt?
bulbul Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 jvm likely to merge with bjp@aaj tak......wats the need now Marandi is BJP guy...have good reputation. As Munda lost this may be a chance for him
G_B_ Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 time for the BJP to shift Munda to national politics. will only be a thorn for the CM of Jharkhand which appears to be mr Das. JVM merging is not surprising. BJP dropped him due to compulsion from the JD(u) in the early 00s. However considering he lost both his seats his MLAs would have also just jump ship anyways. Both Mirandi and Munda should be shifted out of state politics. Move them to the Rajya Sabha The Sinha faction too needs to maybe shifted to national politics.
G_B_ Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 so based on results you have BJP 37 + 7/8 of the Marandi faction. Total of 44/45 seats. Plus AJSU 5 plus 4 independents who can play ball. Thats enough cover for a stable government which should roll out reforms in all sectors. From mining to industry
Sachin=GOD Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 If you talk completely about national interest' date=' I would like BJP and PDP to form government in J&K. That will ensure J and K is getting generous help from Centre which would lead to more alignment of J&K with rest of the country.[/quote'] Agreed. And it seems that that is what will happen because Amit Shah has already said that BJP is open to offers while PDP also seems to be going towards BJP.
G_B_ Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 thats 2 seats in the rs for the bjp guaranteed then
adi B Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Any news about the possible govn formation in jk? Pdp with bjp?
G_B_ Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 ^the balls in the pdp's court as they are single largest party the governor has to call them PDP have choice of BJP (28+25) most stable but ideological differences Congress + 4 independents (28+12+4) stability issues NC + 2 independents (28+15+2 independents in the NC camp) stable just about but issues as they both chasing the same vote in kashmir. Prospects of NC pulling the plug overtime. If the PDP fails to form government with all these then BJP can Form government with NC + Sajjid Lone (25+15+2 independent NC + 2 Lone) stability issues You could have a situ whereby PDP is supported from the outside by the BJP on an issue by issue basis ditto NC. In return the PDP decided to ensure that BJP gets two rajya sabha seats coming up in a months time (out of 4) Better if PDP and BJP come together. BJP needs to boost numbers in the rajya sabha. Those 4 seats i think the PDP will support the BJP on all financial bills like say GST to insurance.
adi B Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Yeah pdp bjp alliance looks the most likely one one thing for sure that the valley has discarded bjp completely
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Haseeb Drabu from PDP wins.. isnt he the husband of Burkha Dutt? Yes he is. Barkhas second husband after she quit her first husband after 6 months. Now you know why she loves being so secular.

Malcolm Merlyn Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Yes he is. Barkhas second husband after she quit her first husband after 6 months. Now you know why she loves being so secular. Who was her first husband?
Number Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Prannoy Roy Dont think she would work with him if they got seperated. From some sources it was another Kashmiri some Mr. Mir.
Texan Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Great result for BJP! By wresting Jharkhand as well, Congress is now almost no longer a player in the Hindi heartland. Just Himachal and Uttarakhand with Cong, and both those states overwhelmingly voted for BJP in the LS elections. Superb result in Jammu too! Not winning anything in Kashmir was on expected lines. Perhaps, the divided result is an indication that Jammu people are fed up with the Kashmir centric political parties.
