seedhi Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Oh okay. You are right. This one is which has 34-35 rows with 6 seats in each or 4 in case of business class. I wasn't really sure of definition of wide-bodied (is it with two aisles ?)Two aisles with seven or more seats in each row.
Raghav_12 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 :((Hope it ends well. It won't. Being realistic.
hhunaeh Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 15 civilian accidents and incidents, 7 military and 1 space-related (the Virgin VSS test flight). Also 1 hijacking. Namely: http://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/2ql5ke/air_asia_flight_loses_contact_with_air_traffic/cn76q1j This list is incomplete, India lost a transport plane and a few jets.
CSK Fan Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 :((Hope it ends well. How can it, with it missing for so many hours? What scenario can there be?
EnterTheVoid Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 lucky fellow.. hope those 162 passengers are safe You think someone has a hit out for you and is just getting the dates mixed up? My guardian angel seems to have a full time job. Lets see what happens in Singapore tomorrow. Will post some updates from the ground.
EnterTheVoid Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 How can it' date=' with it missing for so many hours? What scenario can there be?[/quote'] Apparently, plane went down due to bad weather.
CSK Fan Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Apparently' date=' plane went down due to bad weather.[/quote'] Most likely scenario. The pilot did request permission to go to higher altitude because of bad weather before plane disappeared
randomGuy Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 i never bothered about turbulence until now I did. But somehow, feel assured after seeing the airhostesses...
CSK Fan Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Actually this has been one of the safest years in terms of crashes and fatalities, just that the ones which happened were huge news
Raghav_12 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Actually this has been one of the safest years in terms of crashes and fatalities' date=' just that the ones which happened were huge news[/quote'] Don't know on what basis you are saying this. Is there any stats to support this? In terms of casualties, it has definitely worse than last 2-3 years. Year Deaths[48] # of accidents[49] 2013 265 138 2012 794 119 2011 828 117 2010 1,115 130 2009 1,103 122 2008 884 156 2007 971 147 2006 1,294 166 2005 1,459 185 2004 771 172 2003 1,230 199 2002 1,413 185 2001 4,140 200 2000 1,582 189 1999 1,138 211
Jersey #10 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 My parents flew KLM from Amsterdam to DC on the 25th. They said the turbulence was really bad. People were praying out loud at one point. A lot of people were feeling sick. My mom had to vomit a few times.
Raghav_12 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Is it going MH 370 way? No clue in two full days. It is not even in wide, open ocean like Air France.
kubrickian Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I still cant believe how they never found MH370. All this advanced technology and they cant find a giant airplane. Amazing.
EnterTheVoid Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 I rerouted my flight to Malaysia so that I could catch up with my friend. Currently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Malaysia is the home of Air Asia. You can just tell from the faces of the people in the airport that something horribly went wrong with the Air Asia flight. The mood is sombre, people are just in shock and disbelief. Can't imagine what they are going through.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I still cant believe how they never found MH370. All this advanced technology and they cant find a giant airplane. Amazing. MH 370 Its like finding a needle in Manhattan. and then under water. Not easy my friend. Finding AirAsia plane will be a lot easier as compared to MH 370.
Vilander Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I still cant believe how they never found MH370. All this advanced technology and they cant find a giant airplane. Amazing. you should understand scale of oceans better.
fineleg Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 you should understand scale of oceans better. why, is kubri in oceanography?
CSK Fan Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Finding AirAsia plane will be a lot easier as compared to MH 370. Yeah, they keep on saying that but yet to find a single clue
