Give me at least 3 examples where such a move has been made and the team has made it to the finals, even semi finals I hope not but I am expecting blunders, infighting in the Indian team in 2015 WC.

Axing him? Didn't he quit himself? When was the right time for him to quit according to you? How much hope did you have for us doing well in the world cup on Aussie pitches? Won't be like CT or WC 11 at home where our bowlers will be effective. Our bowlers will be cannon fodder on Aussie pitches in ODIs

Have u seen his test record away from home n the number of test he lost because of his captaincy, have u played any serious grade cricket yourself, check the stats, he was an awful test captain n more so away from home reflective in his home n away batting stats as well

There were times we had stand in captains and still won easily at home

Way he played against Australia at home after so much happened was impressive and went for whitewash that never happened before and another thing I credit him for but he was no great captain even at home imo ..if he had decent tea he would have ok even away but for me his major weakness was lack of cricketing know how after experienced bowlers went ..after mumble and zaheer went we saw more and more of those strange fields .. Also how come he never won series against only decent side against spin ? (South Africa ) he had one of best Indian side of all time ..

He lost series to England and never won against South Africa he did beat Australia twice but which other big team did he beat specially when Kumble retired ..
