This is the kind of side that will force opposition to put up bigger than par total which could lead to collapse. India is still a very solid ODI side. SHami is a good ODI bowler. Bhuvan can hold an end. India's major problem will be 5th bowling option. With only 4 fielders outside it is going to be a nightmare.

Most teams will have the 5th bowler issue If similar conditions to the test series exists Jadeja and Ashwin will among the best tbh

We wasted 3 years giving chances to vinay Kumar, unadkat, and mohit Sharma. Dhoni should have realized their potential . I remember how Shami was dropped ahead of unadkat in odi matches against Australia last year. :facepalm: However, if our bowlers can find the right line and length, and bhuvi starts bowling like the way he was bowling few months back in England, we can put up a fight. Surprisingly its ishanth Sharma whom I believe will be our leading bowler in the world cup.

But the point in trying to make is that how pathetic it would be to drop shami ahead of unadkat and vinay Kumar. Even worse is that unadkat was again picked for Indian team against West Indies later that year.

Sometimes I think among 2003, 2007 and 2011 the strongest team was in 2007, with Kumble as leading bowler. But the batting order changes screwed it. LOL...i think the loss was mainly due to the coach and insecurity he created among the players
