King Tendulkar Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Amazing batting. If he does not become a good test match player then something really weird going on
Number Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 As I said in the match thread. Kohli should do this after scoring a hundred against Sri Lanka.
Crookbond Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 YES - Rohit Sharma. When he's set, he destructs himself! :phehehe:
Ultimate_Game Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 yep.. abdv but he is no way as consistent as kohli TBH I have never seen ABDV do what Kohli has done at intl level. He does that in IPL but in intl cricket Kohli is a different class altogetehr.
cowboysfan Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Amazing batting. If he does not become a good test match player then something really weird going on a lot of good odi players never make it big in the tests but i have high hopes for Kohli though.
GautiMaan Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Yuvraj Singh.but Kohli's consistency is unbelievable
Jersey #10 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 He could retire right now and be considered a legend. It's mind boggling. This guy is already a legend
JourneyMan Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Chris Gayle. But Kohli is right up there with the best of them on his day.
Executioner Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Someone forgot chris gayle. But yes, kohli comes next. ABCD can be as destructive, but as OP said, "WHEN HE IS SET" ABCD plays too low down the order and not that consistant.
Old guy Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 TBH I have never seen ABDV do what Kohli has done at intl level. He does that in IPL but in intl cricket Kohli is a different class altogetehr. actually he is pretty good in odis but being a saffer he is very underated and his performances are ignored just see wht he did against these lankans only at home still kohli >abdv
Executioner Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Brilliant?? I am bored. Too many centuries against lankans I am expecting to see a 200 from him in the next encounter.
Ultimate_Game Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I thought about Gayle, Sehwag, MSD etc. but these guys go all out and slog the ball or take risks and look like they are going for broke. With Kohli you never get the feeling he's going after the bowling and plays proper cricketing shots. It's just that he gets in "God mode" (video game term) where he hits everything with the middle of the bat and into a gap. He seems to bat so effortless and the bowlers simply look powerless and clueless.
SLICKR392 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 YES - Rohit Sharma. When he's set' date=' he destructs himself! :phehehe:[/quote'] Hahaha :haha: Kohli is right on top. And Gayle is way too experienced than Kohli...and he is a fecking giant! Kohli any day.
CSK Fan Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 There are many...MSD' date='Raina,UV,Sehwag,SRT[/quote'] He said currently. Thing with Kohli is that he makes the destruction seem so effortless and also rakes in higher socres consistantly than the others you mentioned, so Kohli is definitely more destrcutive. And he is much more consistant than Gayle

If kohli had the strength of gayle, then he would defitinely be more destructive. :two_thumbs_up:
