7FAI_-woNh4 I assume based on your username you know the ways of the the above posted animated sitcom The reference arises from there....its quite commonly used. I am surprised you have to ask... you are based in the USA right? and about you. Every political spectrum has a range. I guess it depends which end of the range you are on. In a jist one can be centre left or one can be centre right. It depends what or where you are in the left leaning range.....
#1. Yes I have seen almost all episodes all SP episodes including this one but dont remember everything from all episodes. #2. No, its not commonly used and yes I live in the US #3. Yes there is a range and people can be on extremes but Im sick and tired of chaddi this chaddi that, sickular and fart smelling liberal. If people cant debate or comment on something without trying to find an insult then at least I wouldnt want to be a part of it. Once in a while its ok for a giggle but here majority of posts have some kind of insult.

Leela Samson banned a south indian film recently because it was hurting Christian sentiments. Why didnt she do same with PK and that is hypocrisy. I am against banning any film, but judgement needs to be consistent.

#1 ok. it was quite a memorable moment for me atleast. that entire episode was memorable. Its from Smug Alert and has spawned so many memes. Thanks being the biggest one. http://www.quickmeme.com/img/50/50d374ede3594f9202ec8ac87bc7ba7c31a8b4015085c5e420bce370ccc634a3.jpg #2 Really? These are so many memes on the issue, its been synonymous with the perceived extreme left. http://s2.quickmeme.com/img/be/be057aa85b32b5209aa8c255e6aa0a996d6747346e0d3f44cb912d567162346b.jpg Not posted uploaded on the mb for a reason. Because you dont approve you are free to click on the link. The above it just one of many. #3 ok.....thats the nature of political discussions though. Its pretty common over the world. In the uk the conservatives are called the nasty party , labour--- liebour and lib dems (liberal democrats) lib dums. Its not just an indian thing. Thats the way of the world. If it bothers you so then i shall take note and refrain from the same.

It doesnt offend me but I dont enjoy reading posts as then you are not discussing issue but telling how stupid the other person is for believing a certain thin. I feel the same way for religious people but I dont call them names in every post :icflove: I know how these conversations go around the world but its either once in a while or on youtbe/newspaper type places or maybe on a fox news kind of comments section lol

I'm not asking BJP to keep the Congress appointees - they should certainly be removed, if they haven't already resigned, but that doesn't mean that BJP should now fill the sensor board with its own people. Its like the debate over schools books in India - till now they showed a Leftist perspective and now that BJP is there, they will go towards the other extreme - they won't become better, just go from one extreme view to the other extreme view. Instead of this they can appoint competent people from the film industry and give them full autonomy to do their job without Govt interference.
Only to be removed by next Opposition Govt? This Vajpayeesque "it's incumbent upon only us to be politically correct while all others can get away with murder" is self defeating.... I cam agree with your suggestion only when BJP has had spent considerable time governing the country... Sala giney-chuney din raj kiya, us pey bhi people want all the World's political correctness to be followed... Guess what, even if Modi govt. Follows your advice (and I'm pretty sure they will, they are not as tuchchas as the Congressis), people will still find excuses to blame them..

Appointing competent persons and letting them work without govt interference is the right thing, appointing RSS people isn't. And as for 'tit for tat' - that's what Cong does - if BJP also does it then what the hell is the difference between them...

Let an new avatar of Vajpayee or Advani take birth in BJP in future and follow all those goody goody things which you wish...

Appointing RSS is censsor board would be like appointing a muslim cleric on Charlie Hebdo's editorial board to decide what cartoon should be published and what should be not.

I think we shoudn't get carried away. Yes, Samson is dicy case and BJP had dozed off for not removing her earlier. But let us be clear, the new appointees must ensure freedom of expression.Otherwise what else you have. We will right wing version of Pakistan. RSS should be kept at bay. They are over excited and hyper active and wanting to tamper the fabric of nation from day 1. Likes of Sudheendra Kulkarni are dangerous but the right wing is not heling PM's cause. I feel proud that Durga Vahini and PK released in India. Otherwise, we would be defending like how Pakistanis keep defending themselves.

So now u want the government to broadcast every minor desicion? In the grand scheme of things does a desicion on this film make any impact on india?
No. It is not one off case. Govt's clear statement would have set the govt stance for everybody for all such cases. People opposing PK or Vishwaroopam and vandalizing theaters would know from outset that govt is not going to listen to them. Question when Govt can take a stand openly why it nitpicks from backdoor?

Let people have the right to protest through legal routes, but don't ban books and movies. Modi govt. should not worry about pleasing the MSM. He will be damned either way. Just keep getting things done aur inko apni aasuon ki sagar mein jhak maar ne de.

Fully agree with asterix dada I love Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his tireless work in establishing the BJP in the 80s and the 90s .He will remain an icon for me. But he lacked the ruthless streak needed to crush the opposition and that led to the BJP sitting out of power for close to a decade. You got a feeling once the BJP won post Kargil in 1999 , the general election they took the foot of the gas. The congress immediately bounced back taking maharashtra and a series of other states in the assemblies in the 2 years that followed. The Modi government must remove JNU people at all costs from all positions.

When UPA was in power there was a biography of Sonia Gandhi called "the red sari" - it was banned in India (its been released now). There was a project about a movie based on Sonia Gandhi's life - the project had to be cancelled because of "pressure". Now suppose someone wants to make a movie on Modi which, shall we say, won't exactly be an adoring portrait - you think the RSS/BJP people in the sensor board will let it pass or for that matter, the project will even be allowed to start?? If the answer is NO then in this case there really is no difference between UPA and NDA. I would ALWAYS want impartial people for the Sensor Board or the Media watchdogs etc instead of someone who may have any affiliation to BJP/RSS/Cong/Left etc.

Sure, be ruthless in elections and in making sure that everyone who was into corruption is sent to jail after due process BUT putting in RSS people in Sensor Board or putting Dr. Batra anywhere close to the HRD Ministry is pathetic.
This I fully agree with. They have screwed up the country for way too long
Yes. They should be removed immediately BUT their replacements shouldn't be dictated by the RSS (which is being done with more and more people from RSS etc being associated with the HRD ministry) otherwise one extreme of bigotry will be replaced by the other extreme.

लीला अपरम्पार! "Every film may hurt religious sentiments of somebody or the other. We can’t remove scenes unnecessarily because there is something called creative endeavor where people present things in their own way. Hence, we will not remove any scene from PK movie" - Leela Samson (29th Dec 2014)

THIS! This is why I call these leftist lib-tards the biggest hypocrites that you will come across! Make no mistake - I am completely in favor of freedom of speech and expression in its true spirit. But that should be applied evenly.
