Absolute waste of a player enjoying his pay in Australia. Varun Aaron should have been there ahead of this joker. Fastest bowler in the world and we have left him.

Opening with Ashwin might be a worth a shot. He has the height and technique. India have always had to try something different to win down under.

The guy just gives away so many 6's but having said that will do well against Minnows which I doubt some of the bowlers even have firepower for that

maniac Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 he is one bowler who rarely gets phainta in odi's That is because he is as non threatening in the middle overs and other teams are more than happy to milk him for singles with the odd 6....Bhajji was used as a strike bowler...did that work out is a different debate,but when he was in the team he was our premier bowler not just spinner. Anyways I hope he goes back to what worked for him when he debuted that is opening the bowling in LOI's....Hey it worked for Deepak Patel on these pitches before....may be we can use one of our medium pacers in the middle overs.
Temujin Khaghan Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 ashwin is useless in the ODI team and this will be his last limited overs WC tournament. i dont think they will make him play another T20 or 50 over WC. he simply refuses to slog the ball despite having some batting ability. very laid back attitude. should have played in the 70s. would have been a spin bowling allrounder demi-god.
