how to make the game bowler friendly again?

no disrespect to AB. he is a gem of a batsman but there is something seriously wrong with the game when batting records are being broken at such pace. the game has became too batting centric. how to shift the balance again? discuss :two_thumbs_up:

Blame the drop in pitches, last season they got them wrong on average and batting was tough, this year they've overcompensated, drop ins also reduce reverse swing as the centre wkt area isn't as abrasive as a tradional ground.

regulating bat sizes, ground sizes, remove the 4 fielder rule, play with 1 ball only

Switch back to old rules.. 5 fielders outside, 1 ball per innings, no free hits (they're fun though)

If cricket bats are thicker and better than the bats made 20 years ago , then ICC should allow the cricket ball also to be modified and improved upon to seam and swing more . A lot of these FTB's will go back to averaging mid 30's with SR's of 60 if ICC allows a level playing field.

First 15 overs fielding restrictions only like 1990s. This shoyld solve it. Allow two bowlers to bowl 12 overs. This will let bowling captain attack more freely without worrying that his premier bowlers are about to finish their quota.

There's nothing wrong with batting friendly pitches, but not if they slow up or become 2 paced as the game goes on, and to me that's the biggest problem with these current pitches.

A flat pitch will ensure both sides will have good conditions to play in. If you bowl well first, the pitch will still be good enough to chase. If you bat well first, then you have a good chance to defend.

that would be unscientific . Modern technology can be used to improve on the cricket ball to make it swing more / late . Seam more off the wicket . But i am afraid the game has changed irreversibly . 360 + score is what is preferred by the Advertisers and the unathletic , mindless LCD they cater to.

No one minds the occasional flat pitch, but if the game is ONLY about batting - this is half of a contest.
