AmreekanDesi Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 How the feck was Ishant chosen over him He might not have taken a ton of wickets but he's prolly conced 15-20 runs less every game than Ishant would have I think he will play the unsung hero role that Munaf played so splendidly last world cup when he came into the first 11 due to injury to Praveen Kumar :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:
Cricket_Hacker Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 very good bowler,no freebies.Ishant would have given away all the pressure if he was there. Bowls around the 140 kmph mark in the first spell, which is an added bonus.Would like to see himget tested a bit in the death overs.
AmreekanDesi Posted March 8, 2015 Author Posted March 8, 2015 man we're lucky to be witnessing such a pace attack in our times hopefully none of them lose their zip and go on to fulfill the potenial they have and have successful successful careers. Yadav imo has the potential to be our best ever fast bowler ever. Averages inly 35 right now but trust me that average will take care of itself
admin420 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Aaron in the squad in place of the spinner woulda been the icing on the cake
Cricket_Hacker Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Aaron in the squad in place of the spinner woulda been the icing on the cake our spinners get a lot of flak. They have bowled quite well.
admin420 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 our spinners get a lot of flak. They have bowled quite well. I meant in place of Axar
Cricket_Hacker Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I meant in place of Axar Binny.Cant bat cant bowl not an exceptional fielder.
tweaker Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Mohit Sharma has supported Yadav & Shami very well.Ishant Sharma 's injury has been blessing in disguise
JaFanatic Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Binny.Cant bat cant bowl not an exceptional fielder. On current form he is a better bat than Axar Jaddu Bhuvi and Ashwin also outperformed(yes, bowling) Bhuvi comfortably in the recent matches but a poor fielder though. I just dont get this hate for Binny :dontknow:
admin420 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Mohit Sharma has supported Yadav & Shami very well. Yes, he's an excellent support bowler but ask him to lead the attack and he will come up short
Shivaji bhonsle Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Chappell wants us to do well...he loves Indian cricket. Great guy.
CoverDrive Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 He has improved since last year. I remember him getting pwned in SA after which we got ishant
admin420 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 One of these days I want Mohit to be given the new ball in these conditions, to see if he can actually seam the hard shiny ball like he had the reputation of doing when he first came onto the Indian pace bowling scene. I've heard many say that he isn't your typical domestic floater, he hits the deck hard and is more in the Asif mold.

MK55 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Mohit has done well so far but there are a lot of areas for improvement. For starters, he needs to maintain his intensity when he comes back for his second/third spells. He has got wickets of the short ball but that is primarily because the batsmen din't expect those deliveries. As he gets more exposed, he needs to make sure that the short ball is used judiciously as a surprise weapon because he isn't a 90 mph bowler. He's a good support bowler who has made a decent contribution in the WC. I don't see him as a strike bowler.
CoverDrive Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 i know he was corrupt and all but man was he a smart' date=' enjoyable bowler[/quote'] my favorite LXjcFKKYfxo
coffee_rules Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 He is bowling good backed up early wkts by shami or yadav. So, it is the team that is working well. Kudos to him, keeping to that plan and tight. Ishant would haveb been the target bowler even here, as he'd to spray a lot.
kruiser Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Why do you have to put down one bowler to praise another? Who knows what Ishant would have done.. he was our best bowler leading up to the WC, he might have failed, he might have got 3 fifers - who knows?
