At which number is cricket in terms of popularity amongst other sports in Australia? I was checking for some highlights online, and rugby seemed atleast 3-4 times more popular

There are not as many people in Australian cities like Hobart and Adelaide. Plus it was a weekday, expensive tickets and this was probably 10th game at the oval this season. Plus footy is back and people follow that more passionately than cricket

Not surprising .cricket is losing its popularity in Australia nd England. Although its popularity has increased in New Zealand looking at crowds.

this world cup happens once every 4 years and its been played in aus after 23 years! your not talking about an everyday event. There should be no complaints from Clarke for eg if Indians outnumber Aussies at the SCG. Seems like a good chance they will.

It's LOI cricket at the end of the day....how can it ever be as important? Not surprised by how they feel about it In LOI's weaker team can be better over one day and win.
