Vijy Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Younis is not a good ODI batsman. Misbah may have failings as an ODI bat, but he at least has good stats. Younis and Afridi should be dropped from the ODI squad, if they don't retire by themselves.

Iconoclast Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Fawad Alam will replace Misbah in ODI team ... similar reliable batsmen but also does more than just block or blast. Hopefully we will find a true all rounder to replace Afridi ... maybe it will be Yasir Shah ... he can bat quite well.

Hammad is a very good pressure batsmen and bowls at a decent pace ... he's been kept out because we had Afridi and Hafeez but hopefully he will get a few chances now. And yes it was a travesty that Fawad was not included in the World Cup squad.
bones Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Afridi with the bat did nothing for many years and with the ball he is average at best. He won't be missed by anyone other than opposition teams. Misbah will be missed, his value to the team is great right now. Younis was and is a crap ODI player, so Pakistan won't suffer much. It's not that difficult to replace 1 good player and 2 crap players with 3 average players. If you do the simple map it is currently 1+0+0 = 1 (Misbah + Afridi + Younis) to potentially having 0.5+0.5+0.5 = 1.5.
