amiret Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Nowadays anybody can score double 100's against weak teams like WI on flat pitches and small grounds. Rohit's doubles were much better against tougher opposition on bigger grounds and in relatively more difficult conditions.

MechEng Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 In Sachin's 200, the pitch was a part but Steyn compensated with 150 kph yorkers (used to be fast then). Sachin just flicked them over mid wicket for fours. I haven' seen such scary bowling in other 200s.

He didn't play too many aerial shots in his innings (just 3 sixes), more relied on dissecting all around the ground, that too against SA fieldsmen. And a bowling attack comprising Steyn, Langeveldt, Kallis, etc. Plus no dropped catches.

I thought Langeveldt was around, and he's an ODI specialist.
