New openers who are able to rotate the strike and not accumalte endless dot balls Power hitters in the lower order Seaming all rounder Tail needs to have some potential to make some runs Agree that Rahane is too timid to be a bankable player in limited over cricket Jadeja apart from spinning conditions is like playing with 10 men Question marks over whether/if Dhoni should in the team if building for the next WC

I believe Rahane should open. He rotates the strike well and does not put pressure on Dhawan. Rohit - Minnow basher. Century once in 8 matches and live on it for year and when he opens usually its dot dot dot dot dot 4 dot dot dot dot dot 1 dot dot dot, sucking the momentum. We see the power hitter Rohit only when he crosses 100 runs, which doesnt happen often. Usually we see Rohit make 30 off 50 balls and get out. Heck Sehwag was 100 times better than this guy. Eventhough Sehwag also dont rotate strike well, he compensates by hitting lot of boundaries early on to keep his strike rate above 100 in ODIs.

Isn't quite the ODI player a Kohli or a Raina is and doesn't exude the same confidence coming in at No. 4 or 5 when we're chasing 329. He's been tried mostly because of his fielding. Kedar Jadhav definitely needs to be given a longer rope now that the World Cup is done and dusted.

Rishi Dhawan needs to be tried as an allrounder ahead of Binny. Jadeja needs to go. He's been given enough chances and has been below average for some time now.

With zero batting skills from the tail our batting ends at 6. Worst is our batsmen cannot share 10 overs to complete 5th bowler quota. We used to have Viru, Yuvraj, Sachin . Despite they were great batsmen they could bowl a bit. This imbalance has to be fixed. We cannot turn Shami, Umesh, Mohit into all rounders. That is a given. Ashwin is not a slogger or finisher. Jaddu is one guy we have to take a deep look at. This guy is our no.7 batsman. Totally unfit to be there. If he doesn't bowl well he is useless. Rahane is another guy we need to get rid of.

Earlier we could count on Harbhajan and Zaheer to atleast make 10 runs outside Asia.Not anymore with these useless buggers.
