dhoni is past it, no offence but he attempted the target late. when it was 158 of 90 balls, make use of the 90 balls cause they're better than 40 balls. I think the biggest issue is we have only 6 batters (out of which two usually fail) and the rest could probably add another 30 runs max in Aus conditions. Dhoni knew it and dint act on it against Zim and Ire game. I mentioned that time he could have tried Binny instead of Jadeja in those games. Binny might have faltered or done well, but that was an opportunity missed.

Show me another Indian captain who had as much success as Dhoni in ODIs and tests .Dhoni did have his problems in leading in overseas tests.But that doesn't diminish his achievements one bit. If Dhoni could have just left test captaincy , he was still good enough to play as player for foreseeable future.Once he lost his enjoyment in tests and felt he could not progress the team, he quit. I personally like his balanced and his easy going approach in life.

Results are only a manifestation of what we do, leading up to the examination..sports, academics or life! I think India is fortunate to have guy like Dhoni, and even more going forward..with the likes of temperamentally short sighted folks like Kohli waiting in line as an under-study. Dhoni knows that the labour pain is essential in begetting a baby, and thats what he means when he says, that process is more important than the result.
