diga Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 We need to identify another backup opener/potentially a no-3 batsman/backup wikcket keeper /pace bowling allrounder/ left arm pacer.. Selectors should concentrate on these positions and try out as many playeers as possible

Guys like Vinay, Mithun etc.won't serve this purpose. I want someone like Karun Nair to be tried out. Ishwar Pandey, Bumrah and Navdeep Saini too. Rahul Shukla for one dayers.

The main purpose of A team matches is to prepare youngsters for the international arena. If Karnataka players are given preference then it is better to choose new talent like Nair and Gopal.

I guess he is always in the 130-135 range. thats enough if he can keep the indipper going.

Other than that we need some solid left hand bats and left arm pacers. Jaddu and Dhawan are not good enough for tests overseas and with KL Rahul opening it is going to be team of right handers from nos. 1 to 11. We desperately need to find some left hand talents amongst the billion.
BlueBee Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Paras Dogra guy is absolutely overrated. Piled up runs against C grade teams but when it comes to playing Irani Cup against stronger Karnataka team, couldn't get past 10 runs. Looked like getting out anytime.
