That yorker by Aaron was just brilliant. Deserved a wicket. Unlucky. He should practice bowling the yorker in the nets, with his pace he can be lethal.

the batsman fell down trying to stop the ball hit the stumps...it was un believable ball.

Varun shud be picked as he can take out such unbelievable balls and in Tests - one needs to bowl those unbelievable balls as good batsman milk all other type of balls- its those extra special balls that fetch wickets.

If I am the captain, I would always pick 4 genuine fast bowler and a spinner in the ODI on most pitches as we need team for all tracks.. spinners have no meaning in Australia, newzealand pitches and pacers like morris , morkel rule even on indian flat pitches.

now even other batsman are murdering spinners thanks to IPL...ashwin r or M or no spinner is a success in this IPL.

Aaron in IPL so far - 11 overs, 98 runs, 0 wickets

Just not good enough to even maintain consistency in his action. Do these guys ever work on their bowling when they are not playing for India? Had such a long time away from national side, comes back and bowls exactly same stuff he was doing earlier. Disappointing.

Yes he has not got wickets but he has been unlucky..catches have been dropped of his bowling and he has created opportunities.

he always had a few balls that looked " unbelievable"- I am not trying to defend your statement that he shud have faired better..

but do understand that he has been bowling on flattest of tracks and he has done better than other pacers of RCB.

what I feel is going for him is his pace, he still is maintaining very good speed upto 148k and he just needs to get his line right - some bouncers that he bowled were deadly.

Wait n Watch- he will bounce back.

Which he has never ever done in IPL. Has bowled one or two good spells in international cricket and that's about it. Its clear that he has absolutely no control over his action when he tries to bowl fast yet cant hit 150+ nor can produce enough wicket taking deliveries. Worst thing has been his learning curve. After 4 years of FC cricket including tests and A tours, he has struggled to show signs of improvement. That is the most disappointing part

Being better than Harshal Patel is no achievement. I hope you are putting the two at the same level.

3  easy catches were dropped off Aaron today.  One ball went for 4 where it should have been one run..  Very bad fielding by  RCB today.

Aaron could have had 3 wickets but ended with none.

His bowling was average today and he bowled much slower than he normally does.  Speed  between 135 k to 143 k.  He should bowl flat out fast.

Heard that Mohit bowled some good inswinging yorkers today. What were his speeds  ?

Moshit was bowling brilliantly. Probably the best I have seen him bowl at the death. Ball was reversing and he bowled some really good yorkers mixed with back of the hand slower ones, making it very difficult for the batsman to hit. Decent pace of around 138K on the yorkers.

Another wicketless match for Aaron. 2 catches dropped off him but was largely pedestrian through his spell. Zero energy in his run up, looks like a club level bowler when bowling

Now his stats read

4 Matches

14 overs

0 maidens

129 run

0 wickets

ER of 9.2

Average - infinity

RCB winning the match may give him another chance though.

Yeah Aaron has been average till now but you can't blame him for yesterday's performance. He created opportunities to pick up wickets but he can't do anything if the fielders drop dollies like that. Not 2 but 3 catches were dropped of his bowling and both of those batsman(Rahane and Tiwary) went onto score 50's.. On any other day he could have picked 2-3 wickets.

Regarding his run up, he is bowling within himself because he is playing most of the matches at Chinnaswamy which is ruthless against quick bowlers. Yesterday he bowled a quick bouncer to Rahane who hit a ramp shot which went for a 6. This is a ground where edges fly off to 6. Which quick bowler will go all out on such a ground? They will try to vary their pace here.
