BG music was the hero of the film , suspense was weak though.

Rajiv Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I guess they thought the audience will be swooped by the art work, that they will slowly accept the killer in between and then portray as if there is more suspense, then the original killer turns out to be far dangerous and they all discussed it peacefully in a round table conference, while an item girl was promised love ( hold on what was that about? ) Then make a rap song, confusing a Chinese dish with blood soaked young guns drawn on the wall and some heavy samurai action in the end. To top it off there was humor between blood and tea at the end, with a marriage proposal among dead bodies at 6AM I was starting to think they might portray Mamta Banerjee as the killer

Loved the sets and the music.Acting was awesome. The story was weak.It should have been simpler, crisper and shorter.

The story was weak.It should have been simpler, crisper and shorter. Very complicated. That is because I suspect that the director himself didn't know what was going on. What was all that stuff about the Chinese and the Japanese? Very confusing. Were it two Chinese gangs fighting or a Japanese gang and a Chinese gang. Japanese attack Calcutta from the river randomly? Calcutta (Kolkata) is inland, and I believe an operation of this sort requires a lot of logistical support. And that Guha/Whatever Oriental name that he called himself by in the 2nd half could cut the same deal with the Brits that he would with the Japanese. Random quickly moving scenes which are not strung together by any logic interspersed with even more random metal(??) music/noise is how I'd describe this movie in one sentence.
