Iran is far more Indo-centric than Pak-centric and they are the only Muslim League nation to've voted in favor of India consistently. 2. Iran is deeply suspicious of Pakistani army(which is massively superior to Iranian military) helping Baloch insurgents in Iran as Baloch are Sunni. I remember reading that they support Pak stance on Kashmir and have always supported our neighbours during Indo-Pak war.

He was a Bangladeshi at heart and Bangladesh should be proud of her soldier :hatsoff: There were 2 parts prior to 1971 - West Pakistan and East Pakistan. The great soldier was part of East Pakistan. After split, the West Pakistan decided to call itself just Pakistan and East called itself Bangladesh. This great soldier was East Pakistani then and since 1971 is a Bangladeshi. Musharraf was born in Delhi. Yusuf Khan ( Dilip Kumar ) was born in the current Pakistan. They are all known by the countries they adopted and want to be known as loyal citizens of the country they adopted. There will be hundreds of more examples like this. Would you call Jinnah a Britisher or a Pakistani? He lived in free Pakistan only for an year or so? All his so-called accomplishments were before he became a Pakistani, isn't it? I picked your intentions when you posted that so therefore my tirade was related to that. No need to drivel further. From the 12 pilots you decided to mention one pilot. So, your intentions were clear to me.

The 65 and 71 war were in the times of Shah of Iran.Post the Islamic revolution of 1979 The Iranian govt. became pro Indian as India was one of the first country to recognise them.Since then India have been backing them and is their 2nd biggest Oil buyer and 2nd biggest investor.

A highway from Zarang in Afghanistan to Delaram and extending to Chabahar via Malik has been built by India.Giving India and Iran access to Afghanistan bypassing Pakistan.USA ay start using this route once the US-IRAN agreement is done and US lifts sanctions,there by allowing US to thumb a few noses in Afghanistan. Plus India has build and will operate the North South Transport corridor in Iran.Ths links India to Iran via sea at Chabahar and from Chabahar a rail link connects Chabahar to Russia and Central Asia. Lots of shared Indo-Iran interests these days.

At least the govt/army is being neutral on the outside, it sure won't be completely that way on the ground.

Similar could happen to India and Bangla as well in which the former has more workers in the gulf states.

India does not depend on remittances to the same extent as pakistan. Our economy does not depend on one particular sector. Its a broad based economy. Remittances from the gulf make 0.5% of the GDP. Remittances from Gulf make 6% of the Pakistani GDP.

You are right again but what about the workers who would lose their jobs? That would certainly impact your economy just like Pakistans.

Secondly if anything in order to punish pakistan they will be importing more Indians and Bangladeshi workers. India is going to stay extremely neutral in this conflict even though we have a soft spot for Iran. India is also the largest/second largest trading partner of the UAE. USE's economy itself would take a hit. Its UAE which needs India more than India needing the UAE. All these slots which these Emirati airlines have for transporting passengers from India to the Europe and North America will disappear. Thats just one thing i can think of. India has options when it comes to the economy.

From hospitals to hotel management, financial services to professional engineering services, especially Gulf countries would struggle with the high skilled roles done by majority Indians...well Mallus :hehe:
