India-KXIP fan Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 avg height of indians males in this thread is almost 5 feet 11 inches (5feet 10.86 inches to be exact) way different from the stated avg height of indians :omg: It is untrue that it will be average, 5'9 is American average for comparison, this is the internet and everyone will be posting their height with shoes on + rounded up to the next inch :D Eg. actually 5'9, poor measuring + shoes = 6'0.1 rounded up to 6'1 +throw in another inch for sake of it =6'2 :D A survey of Fortune 500 CEO height in 2005 revealed that they were on average 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) tall, which is approximately 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) taller than the average American man. 30% were 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) tall or more; in comparison only 3.9% of the overall United States population is of this height. Similar surveys have uncovered that less than 3% of CEOs were below 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m) in height. Ninety percent of CEOs are of above average height. People struggle to find leaders in smaller heights it seems. That said Napoleon was a midget pretty sure although the average height back then was around 5'5 in countries where it is 5'9-5'10 now.
coffee_rules Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Actually this is most surprising because people who eat balanced diet with all calories ' date=' protein vitamins don't have as much stamina and endurance as half fed under nourished people have all over world .These people not only live on very poor diet but also do lot of physical work , marry and even produce 3-4 kids. the same cycle continue generation after generation[/quote'] Majboori ka doosra naam Gandhiji. They endure more because they are poor and there is no other source of income for their livelihood. Not all can lose pride and become beggars. It is not true that undernourished can endure more than those having a balanced diet. The latter need not work harder.
Raghav_12 Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 and I always thought I am on tall side for an average Indian :((
