After all money is all that matters for your ilk, you don't give a **** about Indian cricket, it's all about you, always about you !!! Guy won't skip a single match in circus league because he is Mallya's ***** but captaining the national team is such a useless, unwanted burden for him. Even Dhoni wasn't the captain when he decided to not tour Lanka in 2008 because of 'IPL fatigue'. Abusing team mates, having an exaggerated opinion of oneself, putting money over country,behaving like a wuss, fighting the media, showing middle finger to cricket fans.... all the attributes we need in our future mainstay. IPL is killing Indian cricket !!!!

Gollum Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 i agree with gollum give test captaincy to che or rahane or Ashwin, most probably our most valuable player in test cricket,at least in Asian conditions. Che needs to score a few runs and shut the mouth of critics baying for his blood, captaincy will overburden him. Rahane looks too meek to command presence,VC may be a role perfect for him. Ashwin may sometimes be too smart for his own good, but many of his qualities are better than Kohli's atm.

Time,fame,money all change people you know, sometimes mess up the real priorities of people. Unfortunately with IPL and all this cash,social media hype,million dollar endorsement deals,fangirls,Bollywood many will go the Kambli way. Only genuinely nice guys with the right people around them like Rahane,Vijay,Che,Bhuvi,Shami might remain untouched.

I agree, who cares about ODIs against teams like BD on those pitches anyway(no disrespect to BD, ODI overkill bores me). But he must play the test, that too as the newly anointed Indian test captain. But from the article it seems that he won't even play that. Will be disgraceful and unprecedented in the history of Indian cricket if that happens.

You don't gain anything out of it as a team win or lose. With the amount of young cricketers available at the disposal this should be a start to build your future. Since first class cricket is getting us nowhere we should use minnow Tours, India A tours to get the next gen cricketers ready.
