Detonator Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 A woman involved in a marital dispute allegedly set fire to her in-law's house, leaving her husband and his six other family members dead in a village at Kumarapuram in the district in the wee hours today. Dispute between husband and wife was suspected to be the reason behind the act, Police Inspector Manoharan said. Kannan (27) and Pandeeswari (25) were married few years ago but were living separately following some differences for the last one year. Few days ago, some villagers attempted to reunite the couple and asked Kannan, who was staying in Chennai, to return to the village. After reaching the village, he was staying with his parents, sister and her family in Kumarapuram, Manoharan said. Pandeeswari, it is alleged, came to the house where Kannan was staying, locked it from outside and set it on fire after pouring kerosene. She later surrendered before the Sadapetti Police, he said, adding investigations were on. Kannan, his parents Velu (65) and Pachiammal (50), Kannan's sister Sugandhi (35), her children Sangeetha (17) and Sangeeth (12) died of burns in the house. Vineeth (13), who was rushed to Madurai Government hospital by neighbours, succumbed to burn injuries, police said. http://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/woman-burns-alive-husband-six-other-family-members/article1-1349093.aspx :((
Raghav_12 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 She must have been harrassed badly by in-laws in patriarchal society.
Detonator Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 She must have been harrassed badly by in-laws in patriarchal society. Agree tbh, case of a harrasement cannot be ruled out .. Unless she is mentally ill, there is no reason for so much anger. but killing 3 adolescents is inhumane
beetle Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 effed up people in effed up marriages........poor kids!RIP I really find it difficult to understand why people want to live with a spouse who doesn't care to live with you.....both gender.
swatpulla Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 She must have been harrassed badly by in-laws in patriarchal society. Or maybe she was one crazy *****.
Temujin Khaghan Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 she could have ended it with a divorce? we dont know her situation, so shouldn't judge her...
Donal Cozzie Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 she could have ended it with a divorce? we dont know her situation' date=' so shouldn't judge her...[/quote'] Would you say this if the husband had burned them all? No, you'd probably call for his castration. Really dislike how people, when a man commits something, are all for capital punishment, but if its a woman, "oh maybe she was tortured into it". Evil knows no gender, even IF she was being abused I've no sympathy because she took several innocent kids too.
HippoSucks Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 What kind of a person kills their children? She could have waited until the children go to school or something... Anyway nothing justifies such horrendous acts. If she was living separately, then I can't imagine how she was being tortured. Even if she was, she could have complained to the police or simply divorced the man.
