rkt.india Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I have heard about people watching Bahubali multiple times in theaters, some even 3-4 times, not heard the same about Bajrangi yet.
zen Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I have heard about people watching Bahubali multiple times in theaters' date=' some even 3-4 times, not heard the same about Bajrangi yet.[/quote'] I am not a big fan of either BB or Bahubali. However would prefer BB over Bahubali for its touching 2nd half, Nawazuddin and that kid's acting Bajranjii has grossed more though despite releasing 1 week later .... Below is info on footfalls: Link Also in my area (the cinema I visit), BB has 4 shows vs. 2 for Bahubali on this weekend so it shows the demand :dontknow: .... Bajranji Bhaijaan was also first released in UltraAVX .... Right now the two UAVX halls are showing The Man from UNCLE (watched today!, and MI5 earlier which made way for this one) and some other movie - Straight Outta Compton (probably Ant-Man earlier) .... So it is good to see BB get an UAVX release despite competition from Hollywood films

So it is good to see BB get an UAVX release despite competition from Hollywood films Bajrangi has more pan India appeal than Bahubali, even overseas. Do you realize Bajrangi is a Salman starer who has given 7-8 100 crore films since 2009. His last film as bad as it was did 375 crores of collections world wide. Also, any hindi film will always score over a regional film even overseas because even non-hinid speaking people will go and watch a Hindi film with a star than a regional film with some unknown actors. Also, Bahubali isnt counted as a Hindi film, so, you will never see its name mentioned in that list you posted. Even if not many people would have watched Bajrangi multiple times, it would still garner more audience than a Bahubali because of star and appeal factor and a cliched India-Pakistan subject with Salman in such a character is enough to do that. If Bahubali had to reach at the level of Bajrangi, it will need people to come and watch it multiple times because the narrower area that it appeals too. You are comparing a film that garners to at least 15 Hindi speaking states to a film which is made predominantly for 1-2 states, anything else was just a bonus for them and unexpected.

And next year, new records could be set so there is no point in going ga-ga over the numbers As for Bahubali, it was released in over 4000 screens including 1600 in the Hindi belt. It was marketed well too so your point on regional films is not completely applicable to it (talked on this already) I have seen the data, the approx. breakdown of Bahubali's collection is as follows (assuming that data from South is not inflated [shady] as at times the numbers don't seem to add up): AP = 36% Hindi belt = 20% Overseas = 14% Others = 30% (TN, Karnataka and Kerala) So 2/3rd of its collections are from South. It would not matter much if a few people like yourself would watch it 10 times as overall Hindi audiences have not preferred it as much as some of the other films despite its promotions (relatively speaking) So you cannot say that on one hand people are watching it multiple times, and on the other hand say "no one knows about it, it is not its key market, etc." when the film is running for 5 weeks now and grossed over Rs 100 crs (approx. 5x more than the next dubbed film). At 20% the Hindi Belt has been its 2nd highest revenue generating region :winky:

Kalia_Test Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Baahubali 2 To Have WWF Fighters? http://www.greatandhra.com/movies/movie-news/baahubali-2-to-have-wwf-fighters-68367.html But talk from the sets is that Baahubali 2’s initial script is being tweaked to suit the audiences’ tastes. Director Rajamouli says he is now well aware of where the audience enjoyed Part 1 and where they were disappointed with the film. So, he is said to have made some changes to make sure that the second part is more interesting and attractive to the audience. Though initially, he wanted to continue with characters like Kalakeyudu played by Prabhakar, Rajamouli is said to be in talks with WWF champions like Renna, Brook Lessar and Seinna. Apparently, he intends to add some extraordinary action shots to make the film more gripping in keeping the tastes of an international audience. It is being said that Rajamouli has kept the main theme in-tact and has smartly inducted the elaborate fight sequences into the plot. And this time, he intends to release the film in English directly. While the plan is to keep Kattappa’s character in tact, Rajamouli says he is unsure of the length of Rana’s character in the film. Another major highlight of Part 2 would be a huge volcano instead of the waterfall which was the main focus in Part 1. Hope Rajamouli sticks to his strengths and not experiment too much. This Hollywood or US singers/fighters,etc in Indian cinema has not worked ( a few Akshay movies and the Akon song in Ra.one )
vvvslaxman Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I am going to make a movie on 200 crore budget. Movie name : Rett Kalia

Also get Rhonda Rousey in place of Tamanna Even if Rajamouli does nothing and shows a blank screen he will still make money on Part 2 with all the hype and hysteria part 1 has generated....and guess what Rett might finally appreciate the artistic thought behind showing just the blank screen and compare it with some international cinema and also might appreciate that a blank screen looks the same even in a cam rip :yay:

One has to respect Rajamouli for accepting that the film has shortcomings, taking the criticism of the movie positively and making an effort to make appropriate changes to make the film more interesting I hope that his homework does not only include watching more and more flicks and taking scenes from them but also being original (hopefully at least 51% of the film would be original) The part 2 should progress with the first half focusing on how Bahubali was killed and his love story with "Bahu" Bali; and 2nd half on Shivadu (already forgot his name) taking revenge and being crowned the king (happy ending unless he wants the volcano to erupt and destroy the whole kingdom :P ) In Bahubali, he added some unnecessary scenes including that Afghan sword merchant's sequence and the unnecessary item number with foreign artists. So how will he change things so that the foreign fighters add value (lots of scenes are likely to be wasted on showing how powerful the fighters are so the hero can look heroic when beating them)

Sachin=GOD Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 biggest production among indian movies so far - yes highest collections - as of now yes in south, should wait and see for the final national records best graphics in indian movies so far - yes best war episode in indian movies so far - obviously and probably the first international standard war episode in Indian movie history. greatest indian movie - eh.. no sorry. Finally watched it and totally agree with this review. The scale of this movie is really AWESOME and should be a huge encouragement to filmmakers all over India when they try to make a historical epic. Story line was just meh.....I didn't expect anything on that front so not really disappointed. It was the graphics, camera work and that war scene in the end which was beyond my expectations of an Indian film. Looking forward to the next part. For the next part they might want to cut down on copying Angrezi films though :P
