Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Anurag Thakur has said that Dravid will be asked to focus more on India A tours. As a successful ex-India cricketer, Dravid has been a positive influence on a lot of younger players in the country. Youngsters like Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson, who has been earmarked as a future star of Indian cricket, have spoken highly of Dravid's contributions to their growth at the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. Only two days ago, Virat Kohli had said that it would have been great to have Dravid on the recently-formed advisory committee comprising of three other former greats - Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman. http://sports.ndtv.com/cricket/news/...-lateststories Great decision :hatsoff: to Thakor and BCCI and more so to Dravid to taking on a such a hard job forgoing all media commitments.Cant think anyone better to teach technique and professionalism to our youngsters. Hopefully this leads to coaching India few years down the line.Maybe like our own Pep Gaurdiola Edit: Dravid's first assignment will be a tri-series hosted by India, between the A teams of India, South Africa and Australia in July.
adi B Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Wow,seriously great decision and hatsoff to dravid to accept this role.I think with genuine guys like dravid,sachin,dada and vvs in top positions ,we can be assured that indian cricket will go in the right direction and fix it's priorities well!!
