- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat has been extended top category 'Z+' security cover with the commandos of CISF having been tasked with the job. - Officials said Bhagwat will now be guarded by an armed squad of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) during his stay at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur and when he travels to any place in Maharashtra and across the country. - A team of 190 trained commandos and officers of the elite Special Security Group (SSG) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will provide a Z-plus security cover to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat. The 190-member-strong team will be permanently stationed in Nagpur. An officer of the rank of Assistant Commandant will head the team and will be assisted by six other officers. All others in the team will be specially trained commandos. These commandos will be drawn from SSG, which is trained on the same level as the black cat commandos of the National Security Guard (NSG). - The VVIP commando unit of CISF is armed with sophisticated weapons like AK-series rifles and is equipped with latest gadgets for communication and anti-sabotage tasks. This unit is also identified as the 'centre of excellence" for VVIP security in the country. - A team of 45 commandos will escort and guard Bhagwat round-the-clock and whenever he is traveling. There will also be a custom-built BMW, which will be bullet-proof and bomb-proof, and equipped with mobile jammers. His entourage will include four SUVs, which will carry armed commandos and state-of-the-art surveillance and security equipment. - When Bhagwat is scheduled to travel outside Nagpur, a team of 20-22 personnel will first travel to the destination a couple of days ahead and take over security. The team will sanitise the entire area and secure it. When Bhagwat reaches the destination, the commandos will escort and guard him till he returns. - The elaborate security cover means that Bhagwat will enjoy a level of security next only to those of the Prime Minister and the President. It would also make Bhagwat the only non-constitutional and non-political figure to be protected with such a security blanket. - Following heightened security threats to Bhagwat, the Union home ministry had ordered the CISF to take over the responsibility of protecting him, said a source. In 2006, the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) had made a failed attempt to attack the RSS headquarters in Nagpur. A review done by security agencies indicate that Bhagwat is also on the hit list of many terror outfits, said a police officer. In spite of being a fan of RSS myself, all this does sound a bit excessive. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/RSS-chief-Mohan-Bhagwat-gets-Z-VVIP-security-cover/articleshow/47573732.cms http://www.dnaindia.com/mumbai/report-rss-chief-mohan-bhagwat-to-get-z-plus-security-cover-2093064 http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/mohan-bhagwat-z+-security-rss-cisf/1/442757.html

The RSS thread RSS misunderstood, maligned: Bhagwat - The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday called upon the critics to understand the RSS before criticizing it. - “Many things are said about the RSS without even attempting to understand it. This misinformation reaches our swayamsevaks [volunteers] working in the field. We pity those who don’t understand us. But this spread of misinformation would stop very soon,†Mr. Bhagwat said addressing RSS leaders and volunteers at the concluding ceremony of the RSS’s national level annual 25 day cadre training camp —Truteeya Varsh Sangh Shiksha Varg-2015 — here. - Criticizing the discrimination and divisions in Indian society on the basis of caste, the RSS chief said “Eyebrows are raised every time someone speaks of Hindu Dharma. It is because of what happened over thousands of years because of these divisions and discriminations. We will have to reform it and give up many things.†Stressing on “complete Hindu unity†Mr.Bhagwat asked the RSS volunteers to work for “social brotherhood†and to take everyone along. - “The world looks up to India for direction. The RSS works towards building a strong India by building a strong Indian society. Our aim is to build a Samata-Yukt [Equality based], Vishamta-Mukta [discrimination less] and Swarth-hin [selfless] Indian society,†he added. - Without naming Prime Minister Narendra Modi or his government, the RSS chief said a change was being experienced by everyone in India. “India’s prestige is increasing at the world level, but at the same time world’s expectations and hopes from India are also increasing. India is growing because of individuals who are taking the country forward. Our aim should be to build an India which matches these expectations,“ he said. - Bhagwat lavished praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for getting world recognition to yoga. Without mentioning his name, he said, "Yoga is India's gift to the world. But all these years no one bothered to get it the status it deserved. Our prime minister (Modi) moved the proposal and United Nations passed the resolution to celebrate June 21 as International Yoga Day. Three-fourths of the member nations supported the resolution without even calling for a debate," noted the RSS chief. - Without mentioning any of India’s neighbouring countries, Mr Bhagwat said that there was always a possibility of change in India’s map. “Our country’s map has been changing. It changed during British rule and before that as well. It can change in future also,†he added. - Union Minister for Transport Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathod, Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti, Director of ISRO Satellite Centre Dr M Annadurai, Group Director of ISRO Satellite Dr S V Sharma were also present on the occasion. http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/understand-the-rss-before-criticizing-it-mohan-bhagwat/article7283081.ece http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Conducive-times-to-make-India-world-leader-RSS-chief/articleshow/47547153.cms http://www.outlookindia.com/news/article/india-has-emerged-as-most-credible-country-bhagwat/900549 http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/politics-and-nation/india-has-emerged-as-most-credible-country-rss-chief-mohan-bhagwat/articleshow/47546315.cms

IIT Madras row: RSS mouthpiece justifies action against student body - RSS mouthpiece ‘Organiser’ on Saturday justified the action taken against a Dalit students body by IIT, Madras, and claimed educational campuses are “afflicted with red ideology.” - In an editorial “Unmasking pseudo-Ambedkarites” in its lastest edition, RSS also attacked Rahul Gandhi for visiting Mhow on the birth anniversary of Ambedkar. It said use of institutional space and symbols without permission amounts to “indiscipline” and the institution has every right to question students. - ‘Organiser’ also said educational campuses are “afflicted with red ideology” and forums like Ambedkar Periyar Study Circle (APSC) in IIT-Madras are used for “propagating anti-Hindu and anti-Bharat divisive ideology”, which Ambedkar would never have approved. - “The issue of administrative disciplinary action against the Ambedkar Periyar Study Circle (APSC) in IIT-Madras and Rahul Gandhi turning to Ambedkar birth memorial are “similar attempts to mask great nationalist reformers like Babasaheb with Communist garb of class divisions or Congress’ way of vote bank politics,” the editorial said - The mouthpiece also accused Congress of “always misusing national icons” and attacked Rahul Gandhi saying, “appropriating anti-Brahminism movement was part of that strategy. - No Indian would believe that a person who took ten years to understand his party will rightly address the complex issue of caste-based discrimination and untouchability.” The RSS mouthpiece said that “pet projects of Aryan invasion, inciting hatred, breaking democratic norms of discourse for political gains and then misrepresenting facts through media is the ultra-Communist strategy, which is perfectly used in this case. Mentors like Arundhati Roy can happily use these forums to propagate anti-India ideology.” - The magazine said Indians, irrespective of their caste and religion, have a common heritage and “instead of following the path of divisive ideologies they need to establish a process of dialogue to create an atmosphere of social harmony and learn to march together as a nation.” - Another cover story “Poisoning student politics” in the “Organiser” said this strategy of injecting “divisive” thinking among students can prove dangerous not only for the respective organisations but all for student politics too. - “Rather than raising the question of caste eradication from all spheres of social life, misrepresenting reformers for spreading hatred is poisonous for the student politics,” it said. - See more at: http://indianexpress.com/article/india/weather-india-2/iit-madras-row-rss-mouthpiece-justifies-action-against-student-body/2/#sthash.zV9xvB0u.dpuf

RSS mouthpiece reminds PM Modi of Hindus' plight in Bangladesh - The story warns that “Hindus are solely, but irreversibly, moving towards extinction in Bangladesh. That is the inevitable conclusion of Bangladesh Census 2011.” It mentions how the Hindu population in Bangladesh went down from 12.13% in 1981 to 8.60% in 2011. - It then dwells at length with the series of attacks on Bengali Hindus in Bangladesh and in its earlier avatar, East Pakistan, and explains how Islamist fundamentalists are implementing their agenda of doing away with all vestiges of Hindu existence after partition, in the first phase, and since 1971 (the year Bangladesh was born) till now, in the second. - The subject and the “facts” are clearly a “reminder” for Modi as he gets set to meet Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka on June 6 and 7. Modi will also have Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee as company on his visit. RSS leaders in Bengal told HT on Tuesday that Modi “would do well to visit the temples and ashrams in Bangladesh that suffered terrible attacks in 1971 and have never been rebuilt”. - “If he wants to visit a temple in Bangladesh, he should visit Ramna Kali Mandir in Dhaka. It was partly demolished in 1971 and has not been reconstructed. He can also visit Jagatbandhu Ashram in Faridpur. There, eight sanyasis were shot dead, also in 1971,” Bidyut Mukherjee, prant pracharak of RSS in Dakshin Banga, said. - “The Prime Minister should try to ensure that Hindus don’t come under new attacks in that country,” Mukherjee said, adding, “In Bengal, both the state and the central governments must ensure that terrorist and fundamentalist elements don’t get to spread their wings further.” - “Since the first partition of Bengal in 1905, Hindus have been on the receiving end on communal lines… Unfortunately, here too, the vote bank politics started by the Congress, nurtured by the communists and now being milked by Trinamool Congress has only accentuated the spread of Islamic radicalism,” the write-up mentions while summing up the situation in West Bengal. http://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/rss-mouthpiece-reminds-modi-of-hindus-plight-in-bangladesh/article1-1354233.aspx

No permission for RSS to conduct 'shakha' in temple: Kerala HC told - No permission has been granted to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to conduct drills or 'Shakha' in temple premises, Travancore Devaswom Board has informed the Kerala high court. - Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) is one of the four autonomous bodies that manages nearly 3,000 temples in Kerala and it runs over 1,200 temples, including Sabarimala, the famous hilltop shrine for Lord Ayyappa at Pathanamthitta in central Kerala. - TDB's submission to the high court was in response to a complaint alleging that arms training is being conducted in a temple it manages in the southern district of Kollam. TDB's ombudsman submitted that steps have been taken to stop drills conducted by RSS there. No permission has been granted to RSS to conduct drills, TDB submitted. - The report filed by TDB ombudsman justice R Bhaskaran said the administrative officer in charge of the Thrikkadavoor Mahadeva Temple submitted a report stating that RSS drills were being conducted in the temple for the last 25 years and that though police was informed, no action was taken. There is practical difficulty in banning RSS from the temple, the ombudsman's report said. Further, the ombudsman reported that no RSS drill is conducted at the temple at present. - A complaint regarding arms training by RSS in the temple's premises was filed by one Krishnakumar of Kadavoor in Kollam to the ombudsman. The complaint stated that the temple's premises are being used by RSS activists for imparting arms training and for storing arms and explosives. The temple is also being used as a hideout after the murder of one of the rivals of RSS in the area. Despite complaints filed by the temple advisory committee (TAC), no action is being taken by police fearing religious sentiments, it was complained. read more at http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/kochi/No-permission-for-RSS-to-conduct-shakha-in-temple-Kerala-HC-told/articleshow/47558696.cms

Rajasthan BJP spokesman resigns after dig at RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s Z-plus cover

Days after he questioned the Z-plus security upgrade for RSS sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, BJP leader Kailash Nath Bhatt resigned as state party spokesperson on Wednesday. “My post on Shri Bhagwat offended many within and outside the party…so I decided to tender my resignation,” he told The Indian Express. In a Facebook post on Monday, Bhatt had expressed surprise at Bhagwat being given Z-plus security cover. “I don’t know why param pujya sarsanghchalak ji has been given Z-plus security and whether he has accepted it. Today the country’s security personnel themselves are not safe. Just recently, our soldiers were killed in Manipur… Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her security continued on page guards,” he wrote in Hindi. “God is responsible for everybody’s security so why the fear… Please think…whether this security won’t distance you from the (RSS) cadre… Won’t this be called a status symbol? I couldn’t restrain my thoughts, I am sorry for this mistake,” he wrote. Bhatt later apologised, saying he had spoken with “half and premature” knowledge. “After talking to friends and swayamsevaks, I admit my mistake. Today, some powers are trying to weaken and destabilise the nation… therefore, the security cover to param pujya sarsanghchalak ji is extremely important in national interest,” he posted on Facebook. On Wednesday, however, Bhatt sent his resignation to state party president Ashok Parnami. “In the interest of the organisation, I am resigning from the post of state spokesperson,” he wrote in his resignation letter. When contacted, Parnami said: “I received a message from him in the morning saying he wanted to resign in the interest of the sangathan. The party has accepted his resignation. It is not clear at this point what new role will he be given.”

A disgusting, vile, and jaahil organization which has been sowing seeds of hatred of all kind since its existence. Was rightly banned by Patel and again after Babri Masjid, but just like JeD in Pakistan keeps coming back up to spread more poison in the society. While KKK has been marginalized in a progressive country realizing its harms, the influence of RSS continues to grow in a society which is becoming increasingly majoritarian rather than democratic.

IITs Being Used for 'Anti-India, Anti-Hindu' Activities: RSS Mouthpiece http://www.ndtv.com/india-news/iits-being-used-for-anti-india-anti-hindu-activities-rss-mouthpiece-783072?site=full

NEW DELHI: An article in Organiser - the mouthpiece of BJP's ideological mentor Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh - has alleged that prestigious institutes like IITs were being turned into places for "anti-India and anti-Hindu" activities. The article also took on the IIMs' opposition to some of the government's moves - including the draft IIM Bill, and argued that the Left and the Congress "still control the premium institutes" through the Board of Governors and Directors. RELATED Truth vs Hype Exclusive: How Baba Ramdev, and a Proxy Hindutva Agenda, Have Entered IIT Delhi Union Minister Smriti Irani Holds Talks With RSS Bodies on Education Policy India Will be Hindu Nation by 2020, Says VHP Leader Ashok Singhal Claiming that non-vegetarian food is served at IIT Roorkee "in the holy city of Haridwar" and students at NIT, Rourkela, were "stopped" from holding a puja in community hall during the UPA regime, the article said the incidents show "these government-funded institutes were becoming a place for anti-India and anti-Hindu activities." "Faculties with low morals are misguiding students... The Board of Governors should also be made responsible for anti-India and anti-Hindu activities being carried out at the institutes," the article said. The article also targeted Anil Kakodkar - noted nuclear scientist and former chairman of the Board of Governors, IIT Bombay - and AM Naik, chairman of IIM Ahmedabad for their criticism of the HRD ministry. Taking a dig at Mr Kakodkar, the article said he had accused HRD minister Smriti Irani of taking IIT directors' recruitment "casually" but did not say a word over the "Kiss of Love" protest by IIT Bombay faculty and students. As for the IIMs, the article argued that the draft IIM bill will make it difficult for political parties to control the appointment of directors and chairpersons, which was why many people were opposing it. It claimed that officials linked with the Left and the Congress were being appointed to these institutions. Several older IIMs have criticised the draft bill prepared by the ministry, which, critics say, will give sweeping powers to the government in running the institutions. Mr Naik's reported comments against the draft bill were also criticised in the article, which said the "ethics" applicable to Board of Directors in the corporate world should also be applicable to the board in these institutes
Replace these IITs with Ashrams that will teach plastic surgery old style.

You may disagree with these protests but how doing so amounts to anti-india or anti-hindu activities? These chaddi loonies are getting endorsement from government for all of their lunatic acts and it is getting dangerous day by day.

^ You know what Periyar stands for? Ravana was Dravid while Rama was Aryan who killed Dravid and hence Dravids should burn effigies of Rama Sita and other Hindu gods. Atleast Chaddhi loonies take toime off their office work to collect funds and facilities and then travel to Nepal to help earthquake victims, instead of your Guru who is spending public money on advertising himself and payback ford foundation and media.
