seedhi Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 everything of theirs is bad' date=' everything hindu is good, and this should be obvious and unquestionable to everyone even the non hindus. India is hindu by default and the rest of them need to live, god knows how, most probably like second class citizens always questioned on their indianess based on how much they bow their heads to sanghi definition of hinduism. Sanghi philosophy :two_thumbs_up:[/quote']Of course, it surprises you that there are some unlike you that do not want to live like dhimmis. Mughal and British rules are over, and India is no longer a slave. You may want to live like a slave of muslims and christians but don't expect others to do so as well.
panther Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Don't really care about yoga, I stretch regularly without making some weird noises, Though I must add it was quite a site seeing modi jumping up and down like a baboon doing his yoga thing.

diga Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 BTW, I heard from a muslim friend that its difficult to exercise during Ramzan fasting...kudos to many who joined the yoga day
Asim Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Is this yoga you asking about is different than that health & fitness Yoga?
rkt.india Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 i did some research on namaz for a content development project two years back. bought loads of books on this, qurans even to understand what namaaz is all about, the sunnat, surahs, the ayats, basic composition of a namaz. met with muftis, maulawis, professors who thought quran, few heads of institutions even to understand this. i sat through many sessions where people did the 45 minute version of the namaaz and in all my discussions, the topic of yoga came up. i hesitated at first to state this but gradually found courage to voice that namaaz is like yoga. i said prophet mohammad was a very smart man to make namaaz mandatory. those who practice namaaz 5 times a day - thats fazar, zohar, asr, magrib and isha, should be the most healthiest. infact almost all agreed that there was phenomenal similarities between doing yoga and doing namaaz. it was an interesting perspective that i gained and i believe most of the muslim community would not have an issue with. as a muslim rickshawala cum teacher once told me - hindu muslim problem creators sab delhi main baithe hai. bullseye. ‪#‎internationalyogaday‬ ~ Sharika Kaul from FB

Debutant Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Yoga is very good and do it every week days but don't think it should be made compulsory. It should be the person's choice whether he wants to be fit and healthy or lazy fat ass :dontknow:
BeautifulGame Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 More than being an Hindu Muslim issue the bigger issue is being forced to do .That's just pathetic . Yoga just like Karatte or any similar health related activity should be about voluntary participation. Not about forcefully asking people to join in . All said it was great to see our Govt organize Yoga day so successfully even overseas .
G_B_ Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 How exactly is Ram Madhav asking a question where the VP was during yoga day an "attack"? So those claiming people are being forced to do yoga, yet somehow Madhav does not have a right as per the constitution on freedom of speech to ask a question? To be frank even I had that question. He may not be invited, but nothing is really stopping him from coming to multiple events organised around the globe had he chose to do so in a personal capacity. I personally feel Ansari should make his stance clear. Officially he was not required. Unofficially he could have done it.

Debutant Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Who said was forced? I have heard there is some kind of proposal to make it mandatory in schools. I am not sure whether it is correct or not.

I personally feel Ansari should make his stance clear. Officially he was not required. Unofficially he could have done it. He is the Vice President of India. He doesn't (and shouldn't) go anywhere uninvited. There is a certain dignity to the post so if he was not invited there was no way he was going to attend any function. Recently an IAS officer was warned for wearing sun glasses while meeting the PM - that was a really small issue IMO but Modi Bhakts were quick to defend Modi/Chattisgarh Govt by saying that IAS officers shouldn't meet the PM while casually dressed and that proper protocol should be followed when such high ranking persons as the prime minister are involved. Here we are talking about the Vice President going uninvited to an event where the Prime Minister was the main guest - would have looked extremely improper on his part to have gone there when he was not invited and would have been embarrassing for the Govt for not having made arrangements for him (there were only 5 places on the stage - for PM and the 4 Yoga gurus like Ramdev). The Vice President can neither go to such functions in his 'personal capacity' not can he just 'drop in' unofficially.

There is some thing called properiety and you can't go around asking any question to anybody? Would it be okay to ask how many sadhvi's of BJP are really so? Can you defend if somebody ask such questions with your lame interpretation of freedom of speech? It would be childish even to deny that nut case Ram Madhav asked this question because outr VP is muslim and he is being put to Yoga test of patriotism by lunatic sanghis and this is not the first time when they did it. This is an outright insult of second highest office of the country but as in past Modi is likely to reward Madhav for his this misdemenour. Everybody of this country should be prepared for "Yoga" test of patriotism and if you fail you'll be sent to Pakistan :((
Raghav_12 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 I am sure everyone in the RSS and BJP will queue up if we ask them to do Namaz and celebrate Namaz day Lol.. first thing came to my mind..double face of these "well-wishers" would be exposed.

This is what I mean, people in India are becoming the assumption police. Most people I assume (my assumption) ask that question because he is a high profile person as empowered by our constitution who was missing. In reply to SG and Raghav Madhav asked the question on twitter, this is in a personal capacity to his followers, looks to me he wanted to gain more info. Its not as if he went to VP's house in his capacity as an envoy of the BJP and asked him this question. In partial response to the Sadhvis of the BJP, thats exactly what happened on twitter. The IAS officer was meeting Modi because of his position as an IAS officer. Its not as if Modi and him were invited to a private event. I dont goto my office in a tracksuit. VP's also have a personal lfe right? Your telling me his children/nephew-nieces forget to invite him to his grandchildren birthday he cant go to that cause he is VP and its beneath him? There is nothing stopping VP from performing yoga at his home in a personal capacity should be chose to. He remains free not to do it. But I would personally want a clarification from him on the same. Maybe he should have organised his own event (if he wanted to do yoga but was not invited). Certainly had the means to do so.

His Twitter profile is public. His profile reads "National Secretary BJP" and his handle name is "rammadhavBJP". That argument is pretty lame. Moreover, he didn't ask a question - he posted a lie about VP as a question. This isn't the first time Ansari was attacked as a VP. The same had happened on January 26 too. The worst part is that people hardly know about the man. I have met Ansari's wife and she teaches in a primarily Hindu origin school, wears a bindi like most Hindu women and doesn't espouse Hindu or Muslim values in the school where they teach. The VP has already issued a clarification.

[/quote']Yes, then he retracted the tweet. Are people not allowed to question the conduct of the Vice President? He realized that he was mistaken and then withdrew the tweet. I fail to see the cause of this uproar. Ram Madhav did not allude to the religion of VP. He tried (mistakenly) to connect the VP with the RS TV coverage of the Yoga day. He made a mistake. Surely one need not have to know anyone's personal life in order to be able to criticize the public behavior of the person.
