big blow. Was the standout Aussie bowler last ashes. If Johnson picks up an injury the Aussie pace attack is a big green

Probably would have been one of the greats if not for injury. Similar to Shane Bond. A career of promise wasted by injury

Tests: 113 wickets - 23.52 average - 19.82 average v. England - SR - 50.7 - BBI - 7/117 - HS - 74 v. India ODI - Average 18.90 in 21 games How could we forget how he cleaned up Cook in Perth or how he willed Australia to win the series v. South Africa in South Africa or how 46 wickets against England in the B2B Ashes.

Really sad to hear. He was a good bowler.Only if india could snatch him up atleast for bowling coaching role.
Not going to happen. He is basically Australia A's assistant from last year, so he might carry on with that. Yeah massive blow for Australia but they still have the bowlers. Pat Cummins is flying in.

Typical Aussie bowler, I must say. Added some weight and added some pace with it. Didn't had the perfect biomechanical bowling action, but still he was such an amazing bowler. Real workhorse. Sad to see him go

I remember him bowling at 140-145k in the last Ashes at the age of 34 :hatsoff: and looked very sharp. Too bad injuries took their toll, otherwise could have become a great.
