Vijy Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Then we should be pretty pleased with the results. I'm quite pleased with the result when seen in isolation, since it was along expected lines. But, what I am not pleased is with the many chances squandered throughout - the poor bowling post-lunch yesterday and the lack of temperament shown today.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Give credit to Chandimal and move on. Brilliant knock to seal the deal for lankans. They played well and Indians were timid in their approach in the second innings
Vijy Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Move on... to what? More Bhajji and Maggi fun? I'm all for it :two_thumbs_up:
SaintEschaton Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I won't watch the next match unless we make a mid-series lineup change (is that even possible?)
vayuu1 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Absolutely gutted, chewtiye of highest order, would beat both pandit,Mr anushka and flair, especially flair saawle bat ko hath lagaya to hath tod dunga, and darty too.
BeautifulGame Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Sorry but how exactly has it been different? Same defensive captaincy like Dhoni with fielders on the boundary line for new Batsmen , Late declaration etc Aggressive cricket isn't talking to media lol

Same defensive captaincy like Dhoni with fielders on the boundary line for new Batsmen , Late declaration etc Aggressive cricket isn't talking to media lol Going for a target in Australia when we could have easily settled for a draw is something aggressive. Choosing 5 bowlers to address our biggest weakness, that's aggressive. Believe it or not, Kohli is changing the dull brand of Cricket that India played so often under Dhoni's leadership. So far, Kohli has had ZERO luck going his way. Once fortunes change, even the critics will start applauding him.

The important thing is we won today.

We will not be playing for dull draws under him. I can already see increase in confidence and a sense of identity in our fast bowlers

rkt.india Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 It wasn't a bad declaration at all. If you cant get them in 117 overs on a 5th day deteriorating SC pitch, forget winning then. 4-5 overs wouldn't have made much of a difference.
