Malcolm Merlyn Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Has SLC again in their unethical way provided a flat pitch for Sanga's farewell? So that he can again fill his boots and also Lanka has no chance of losing?
Gollum Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 There is nothing unethical even if they have prepared a flat deck. But if there is no prolonged rain intervention, there will be a result.

Even in the absence of rain, however, it seems to me that this pitch is somewhat flatter than the norm.
sensible-indian Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 SL have the right to prepare any track. I just hope this ain't a patta cos that would be frustrating. Is the pitch turning or doing anything? Will it do anything by Day 3?

Will it do anything by Day 3? I missed the 1st session so don't know how it was then. But right now it looks like a flat track, at least compared to the usual P Sara track. That isn't necessarily a bad thing looking at the scorecard now and our present batting line up. But the good thing is that it will offer spin at some stage and we are bowling in the 4th dig. 5 bowlers and Ashwin +Mishra is a positive here. We need to make this start count and score 450-500. I still believe that if >400 overs are bowled in this match we will have a result.

Gollum Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Will not cross 350 in the 1st innings in all likelihood. I agree and that may cost us dear. Normally in any venue days 2 and 3 are the best for batting. Lanka have the firepower to bat us out of the game if we get all out cheaply. And then it will be a question of survival for us on the final 2 days.:nervous:
adi B Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Pitch looks flat but roughs are developing and bounce will get uneven from day 3
jusarrived Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 This pitch is no different from the one we played in the first test
Donal Cozzie Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 If Rohit makes 30 plus it has to be a phatta :P

zep1706 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 After the last match India have lost the right to complain.
Vijy Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Kaushal was turning the ball quite a bit towards the end. If we could get to 400 (somewhat unlikely), Ashwin and co would be pretty good. Big mistake in not choosing Ojha again. Binny + Ishant would have sufficed.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted August 20, 2015 Author Posted August 20, 2015 I "cone" here to poke fun at you halfwit' date=' gives me great pleasure :hysterical:[/quote'] Considering the economy of your country its no wonder your are an unemployed dim wit hence the time to come on an Indian forum and troll.
Vijy Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Too early to predict how 4th innings will be - plenty of turn on view for Kaushal already.
