He almost always has problems on slow pitches, like what we are getting in the WT20. Ankit_sharma03 1 Link to comment
Number
There was a spoof article that BCCI has purchased an expensive technology using which Kohli is making runs by using Rohit's talent. Link to comment

CoverDrive
No one is asking for big scores. Just play useful knocks. If not able to hit then bide time and take singles. hit out against spinners and contribute something. Ankit_sharma03 1 Link to comment

Rohit is a batsman with many limitations. He is a beast on flat pitches with true bounce...better than most other batsmen but fails most of the times on other types of pitches. Luckily for him, we get flat pitches in LOIs most of tthe times now and the Asia Cup and WT20 pitches are more of aberrations. Link to comment

He scored but not much around 40-50 most times, and the thing with wi is they as a bowling unit they lack discipline so if u grind hard ull get some runs and there also he didnt convert it into a big one despite many starts. Yes on flat decks he is a beast. Ball coming on bat nicely no lateral movemnt be it spin or swing. express bowling 1 Link to comment

Either Dont waste balls or Dnt throw ur wkt after spending time on wkt. express bowling 1 Link to comment

Rohit got a start, threw his wkt again. 46 in 78 balls kind of slowwwwww innings on flat deck. Not done on flat pitch. See when u get a start that means u got the hang of the conditions, most of the times u have to score big. I can understand if ur a newcomer but not after 6-7 yrs Link to comment

See what WI scored on that same pitch. Link to comment

Once ur set means set, i knw u cnt always score big but that series didnt happen once. Specially when u have taken so much time and ur set batsman u have to take responsibilty. Same thing is this Wc, slow start ok fair enough that may be ur game plan but then execute it. As a senior player 1 score in last 11 innings is not done . And that one innings against bang in asia cup he was dropped twice. Means there is constant error post getting set thats not done as a senior batsman forget being the top batsman Edited March 29, 2016 by Ankit_sharma03 express bowling 1 Link to comment
The Realist
Its becoming steadily apparent that Nohit is a one format (ODIs) FTB. He is far too one-dimensional for a T20 opener as plays the same old way in every game irrespective of the match situation. Is proving pretty hopeless in the powerplays. The less said about his ability in test the better as he is a deer in the headlights in that format. He's nearing 30 and for all his so-called talent he never really fully convinces. I think he will end up being the Mark Ramprakash of Indian cricket. Edited March 29, 2016 by The Realist vijay50 1 Link to comment

E.g., a 3 match T20 series or a 5 match odi series at home against SL or SA is not the same as a semi-final or a final (or even a must-win game) in an ICC tourney. You only have to look at SA and their batsmen such as Amla or ABDV to see it. There's a different kind of pressure in must-win games of an ICC tourney and so far Rohit hasn't shown he can handle it. express bowling 1 Link to comment
express bowling
Rohit needs a bit of time to get started and , if he survives, he is a beast after scoring 50 + on flat pitches which are a dime a dozen in ODIs. In T20s...the extra time to get started can prove to be critical as there are only 120 deliveries. This is becoming even more of a problem for us as Dhawan is unable to play quickly from the word go also. Two openers, who are similar types of players in the first 10 overs, is an issue that would require solving after the WT20 is over.
