I can understand, this is perfect time for his critics to come out and criticize. He deserves the criticism for whatever shyt he has done on the field all this time, but today he wasn't that bad. It's pretty simple for me - he got 3 chances, scored in one where winning/losing didn't matter since we had already qualified for the Super-8s, and failed in the other two which were extremely important matches. Total sum - was pretty much useless in the key matches. It wouldn't have bothered me if he had had good tournaments before. But after his failures in Australia and Sri Lanka, this seems to be super :fail:

What all of you are underestimating is the psychological aspect of the game. Rohit Sharma needs to be away from spotlight to work on his game and come back a better player. This series of constant failures is haunting him, and he has hardly any time to work on his game as well. He is always under pressure, he's always getting written about, he's become a butt of jokes, and every tournament is like the last one for him (from his POV). The atmosphere is not conducive for good cricket, and that is another reason why he is failing. Give someone else a chance (Tiwary should be the one in pecking order) and give him a run. In the meantime, let Rohit go back to the domestics and come back a stronger player. If he can sort himself out, he'll be of great use after the seniors retire. But at this rate, he might be finished much before his actual shelf life.
