One of the reason why India won that sloggaton in India in the ODIs was because even if the pitches were flat they have relatively something in it for the spinners. Australia also seem to have shunted out Faulkner who was a run machine for the opposition at the death.

If root was there,they could have chased it down.

England are only doin better because Cook isnt there to bat out 10 overs for 35 runs. Also, If not better, He is as good as MS Dhoni of English cricket when it comes to team selection.
