I have long been fascinated by great white sharks. Recently, I had a chance to go cage diving with them in Gaansbai, off Cape Town in South Africa.

The waters off Gansbaai are infested with great white sharks all year around. Where there are seals, there will be sharks. Just so happens that off Gansbaai, there are large colonies of fur seals, shark's favourite food.

After baiting the sharks, time to get in the cage. These cages are specially re enforced with industrial grade steel. Still, not an activity for the claustrophobics.

I will post more stuff progressively.

Anything you wanted to know about sharks, shark cage diving or related matters, ask away! Just come back from two weeks in South Africa, will try to answer your questions the best I can.

@Sree_Ind: Great pics.. how much did the adventure cost you.?

The shark cage diving part of it or the two week South African trip?

Neither of them was cheap. However, the amount paid was worthwhile as I came back re energised.
