Vijay I felt looked comfortable though the game. Vijays turn around has been amazing.

I would rate both the innings highly. Scoring 70+ in a low scoring test match...on a turning track... helping your team win.  These are the type of innings I would like to see from all our  batters.

Pujara knock was important in winning this test

Vijay's 75 easily,when the whole top and middle order was getting bamboozled,he stood firm .he was the pillar in both the innings

Ofcourse Vijay's Knock.

The way he batted was superb.He literally dominated Bowler's psyche while planning and executing attack.

His dismissal was quiet unlucky too, but cant blame the poor umpiring as we also face such occassions due to lack of DRS. Vijay missed his 100 for same reason.

Nevertheless, If it wasn't Vijay's 75 , Indian team would have lost the hope of winning and gave up easily while bowling in second inning.

Vijay was better, both were equally important, we need batsmen who value their wicket in test cricket. Pujara got a life in the second innings. Not sure about Vijay's. Both had very good partnerships in both innings which was very valuable in the context of the game. They saved Kholi's ass in this test.

I think when Vijay batted nobody knew what was in store. When Pujara batted we had already bundled SA out cheaply so we didn't have to go after a huge total. We were mentally ready atleast top order.

Yes vijay's knock was more important but just.Had pujara not played in the 2nd innings,saffers would be chasing a target of 100-110 .And pujara's innings was the more classier one .

lol you misunderstood .

I was surprised some voted for Pujara . in Tests first innings is always more crucial , VJ played a more important knock and lets not forgte he got 47 in the second as well . Pujara's was a pretty scratchy innings imo .
