When it comes to Virat, it was never about commitment but he had technical flaw because of which he was uncertain on 4th or 5th stump. But looks like he sorted it out.

I can clearly see that his stance are shorter and he looks very sure about his off-stump.....

I am not technical expert to know how shorter stance are helping him out....but it certainly are helping him...

Your views on this??

Laxman was telling a story about Kohli today. He was having major problems with the short ball in his first West Indies tour. After that. he practiced playing the short ball and only the short ball for a few days continuously...and became one of the best pullers in our team and very comfortable against fast short deliveries which played rich dividends in his Australian and SA tours.

I am sure he is more perturbed than us about his off stump weakness. He has changed his stance today, ...standing with his feet closer together and is more upright...this should help him. He has looked better against the Morkel and Abbot deliveries on and around off stump today.

Let's hope this change works in the long run.

I remember him widening his stance after England to have his feet forward to counter swing. If he's shortened it, it might work on these pitches but it'll still be a cause of issue in England.

Or maybe just used wider stance away and shorter stance on flat pitches where there isn't much movement.

Too wide a stance is never going to work. It limits your feet movement and is wrong at the first place.

Ohh well....i thought wide stance is bad when there is swing....as it will not allow u to pull out of a shot , if needed
