This is the squad the selectors have opted for.I'd pick an extra seamer in place of Axar.

I would too.

In the actual playing 11 it is better to choose Rishi in place of Jadeja. Dhoni may select him in place of Gurkeerat though.

The selectors are still clueless on one thing...they shud build a explosive bowling and batting unit first..they have  given away way too many places for allroudners...as if miracles are going to come from them..then this is the 83 gang we are talkin abt and what do you expect? clinging to the same stupid ideas to the detriment of indian cricket..

stuart binny has consumed  one and half years...uthappa in that place wud have been way more effective...the lack of good strategic thinking is hurting really

no one was needed apart from jadeja and pandya.

mandeep and mayank cud also hv been brought in here ...the exclusion of rayudu is a waste as he is experienced in non Asian conditions now.

its a two edged sword...Australia is the last place for new comers...but we need players to have experience in aus conditions and our board

has been a failure in this regard over the years

India's USP is batting and the  batting talent is not harnessed as fully as it should be because the idiots of 83 have their stupid ideas intact

The case of raina and rohit has not helped...these guys shud be bigger matchwinners than they have been

Instead time is being wasted on some modest allrounders. Thankfully atleast two of them are not complete waste of time

gurkeerat has impressed in taking responsibility for winning matches...lets see his class against international bowlers

This is what the selectors shud shud look for...players who can compete against the best and can win matches...otherwise he shud not be there in the team

The bowling is pretty much a refreshing change...dhoni has been turning senile for while now with his fictional good trundlers and putting up attacks that would have batsmen of minnow teams padding up...somebody needed to save the team from his destructive  ideas..

If you are a 130 k bowler with no skills of note on those flat Aussie loi pitches likes of Warner, maxwell and smith might just end your career even before it begins.

ishant shami and umesh is a decent attack though but rishi and sran seem to be cannon fodder here unless they have special ability with the bat or some special skills with the ball but from a pace point of view they come across as trundlers
