World cup almost over for India

Even the third scenario is very likely... SL beat Eng, and SA beat SL... then SA go through on NRR

As long as a team has not lost 3 games in its group and if enough matches are yet to be played, it should not lose hope .... The teams should remember how Pak sneaked in in '92 lol

As home team, India has first match on new venue every match where as the opponent has already played in the venue earlier...

Pak played a match in Kolkata before meeting India.

Bangladesh played a match in Bengaluru before meeting India

Australia played a match in Mohali and now play India at the same venue...

What a shitty itinerary... There's no home advantage...

Sneaking in to the knockouts has always been pak's specialty. The did the same in 2009, 2010 and 2012 WT20. IIRC in all these tourneys they sneaked through on NRR.

Well, today, we will know the answer as to how deep we will go in this tournament.

Unless it has a bad game, NZ probably has the best chance of winning it as

  • plays Eng at Delhi
  • Plays WI/Aus/Ind at Kol

That's right. We should have aimed to top the group, but then the loss against NZ completely changed all equations. Now, we will have to be content with Wankhede should we qualify for the KOs.

Ind (Kohli) has been chasing well so playing at Mum is not an issue. It is just that WI can be too hot to handle on its day so the game depends more on how WI turns up

That's right. From today, if India have to win this World Twenty20, they will have to meet some tough opponents in possibly the toughest of conditions. Phew, if we get through this, we will be deserving champions.

Australia hot favourites, difficult to see India going through, none of the players clicking, got lucky against Bangla.

In 3 games, India have no batsman or bowler in top 10 (super 10 stages).

Australia have Khawaja, Smith, Maxwell, Watson all scoring runs, and Faulkner and Zampa taking plenty of wickets.

If India win World t20 2016, they will be undeserving.

Ind is good vs sub-continent teams as even if it makes mistake, it is let off or returned in kind .... captaincy / selection blunders are matched by similar blunders of the opponent

Non-SC teams can make Ind pay for its mistakes (NZ already did). So if Ind goes on to win the tourney, it (or someone) would have played extremely well
