MSD is committing a strategic mistake by not playing 3 spinners on these slow low turners

From the first match against NZ to the this one against BD we played on slow,low turners.In every match

lack of another front line spinners has been felt.Rather than using Raina or Yuvraj we should play an extra

spinner in place of misfiring Dhawan.The team should be like this:-

Rohit,Kohli,Raina,Dhoni,Yuvraj,Hardik,Jadeja,Negi/Harbhajan,Ashwin,Bumrah,Nehra.

It gives us 3 seamers,3 spinners plus the part-timers in Yuvi & Raina without weakening

the batting.Wr still bat deep,at least still Ashwin at no.9.

We don't need spinner in Mohali if pitch plays like it played in the match between Pak vs NZ ,but we know pitch becomes turner as soon as India steps in the stadium

Even though I agree with you that we need three spinners but fot some reason Dhoni doesn't like Harbhajan to be in playing 11.It would have been better if selectors have not selected him.

3 spinners in these pitches means 12 overs of spin.Ashwin can bowl in the power plays.Jadeja can bowl in the middle & late middle

overs we need another spinners to keep it tight in the middle overs that will eliminate some overs from the part-timers.This will

result in wickets too.My composition gives more bowling options w/o weakening the batting.

Hardik - for his fielding and a handy hitter if needed like today and could bowl 1 or 2 overs

Yuvi - he did save it in few matches athough he is chocking.. I don't knwo if we should leave him out at this point

I have an option... somebody force Yuvi to fake an injury and replace him with Pandey. Play Pandey at 4, Raina at 5, Dhoni at 6 and Pandya at 7. Problem solved and Pandey is a much better fielder to boot!

Arrey bhai, this is what us fans can do. We are the home team so we can always get a new player added to the squad within a day - no visa issues, no travel documents to worry about. All the teams do it and that's the advantage of playing at home. Indian think-tank needs to emulate what SL did in 2014... they benched their captain (Chandimal) and won the tourney. That's what we need to do as well. We gotta be ruthless and drop this liability (Yuvraj) from the team. He can't play on turning tracks, struggles against spinners, can't hit good bowlers anymore, can't hit from ball one and isn't a good fielder anymore. So what exactly he's doing in the team?

I have no idea what he is doing in the Team.. He will play against AUS unfortunately 

I was thinking maybe Yuvi is carrying an injury of some sort (shoulder). Wouldn't surprise me one bit if that's the case. The guy should see the writing on the wall and let the team be. I guess he wasn't satisfied in losing the 2014 WT20 final and is back trying to do the same thing again.

I still don't get it as to how Yuvi is going to do anything significant in this team. The only good thing he has done so far is the innings against Pakistan where he stitched a partnership with Kohli at a crucial time.

In fact, his number can be swapped with Raina as Yuvi anyway consume balls and our openers don't stay in the wicket for long. At least he can try and build an innings.

Doesn't matter what the track is. Dhoni will not want to mess with the team lineup during any point of the WC except maybe in the case of an injury.

I don't think we should be playing 3rd spinner here instead of a batsman. It will make the batting, already struggling, even more thin. One alternative to the Yuvraj problem could be to bring Rahane in as an opener and move Dhawan lower down the order. Bangladesh tried it in this game by bringing their out of form opener Sarkar down the order and were moderately successful.
