TheBadger9 Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Hi guys, I'm hoping to travel to India later this year and saw that England are touring India from November - January It would be a dream come true to be able to watch even a day of test cricket in India Can anyone shed any light on the dates the test matches would be played? From what I've found on Wikipedia the Tour Series is as followed.. can anyone confirm or enlighten me of dates (approximate) of the below?? Thank you so much 1st Test India v England Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali 2nd Test India v England Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot 3rd Test India v England Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai 4th Test India v England Dr. Y.S. TheBadger9 Posted June 26, 2016 Author Posted June 26, 2016 Thanks SSCOMP32 I might have to make a conservative estimate then hmm New Zealand tour finishes 30 October 2016 1st Test India v England - 12th Novemberish - 16th Novemberish 2nd Test India v England Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot - 21st November - 25th November 3rd Test India v England Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai - 2nd December - 6th December It's the Mumbai test that I would love to go see - I guess I'll have to wait and hope the dates line up with my expected travel dates

Vilander Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 i'd say make it to mohali, Eng would have a good chance in that pitch. Mumbai/Vizag/Chennai will have better amenities in the ground. The weather would be mostly nice in the period, north can get near zero as you travel south it will be a good 20-25 degrees.

MechEng Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Anderson and Broad will still be tough to deal with, the SG ball has better seam than Kookaburra and is more similar to red duke, so seam movement should not be difficult to obtain. Rashid and Moeen are not as good as Jaddu and Ashwin, but the way our ballebaaz play firki gendbaazi, angrez can spin us out.

I absolutely love watching teams make a fools of themselves on spin tracks. Other teams dont hesitate in making a absolute green pitch when india tours, so why should we? For Me Pace=Spin and Green track=Square turner. If i had a chance i will try to make every pitch like nagpur/delhi and whitewash every team.
