Great comeback by Lanka after a poor show in the first innings, helped by a resilient 176 by Mendis. Herath doing his job and picked up 5 wickets in the 2nd innings. This is only the 2nd time Lanka has won a test match against Australia.

 

Aussies were hot favourites coming into this series but this victory shall boost the confidence of the Lankans for the rest of the matches.
