Well, I could have probably named the thread as 'Miller did a dhoni'. But Miller didnt left too many runs until the slog overs and gambled.

This is one of the finest cricket I have seen from long time. He really took the leaf out of kohli's hat.

He executed the chase with finest precision.

Highlights of the chase

1. He didn't took too much risk.

2. Singles peppered with big shots.

3. He knows his strengths 100%, which was evident from his shot selection.

4. Never panicked when wickets were falling from other end.

5. Most importantly trusting the partner from other end, even when, his partner was blindly slogging the bat like a headless chicken.

Finally, new ODI hero is born.

One innings may not be big enough sample to endorse my above statement but quality of this inning is too good to ignore the obvious.

I dont know, but there is something about AB I have never really like/rated.  Could not take  SA across the line, could not take RCB across the line. Its starts to become a trend. In contrast Miller despite being less talented seems to have that killer instinct.

 

Its hard to put your finger on it exactly. I am sure there are lots of stats which show AB was a great player.

Miller is a poor man's Yuvraj.  Great on flat decks, a bit of movement and its Pokemon city.  

 

But, excellent innings today and showed how not to choke as a south african.

Miller's Best innings out of his whole ODI career. He was Brilliant today  in RSA colours

Yes....I have seen every ball....he was just trying to hit every ball....some connected and went for sixes or fours. I know he is playing his second Intl but still, he was playing like a headless chicken
