Iconoclast Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 The sub is of no use if you don't have a long range SLBM. Russia has been trying for decades and their SLBM's are still questionable. Israel has decided to go with diesel electric subs and cruise missiles, Pakistan is doing the same with multi-role attack subs that can also launch cruise missiles. Trident D2 in the US and British navies in the only reliable SLBM in the world right now.
