He looked very innocuous in the ODI against NZ. Lobbing the ball up without any body action. Hopefully he is better than that.

I saw him bowl in a FC match and he looked very innocuous there too.  No body action and no extra revs.

What made Kohli or Kumble choose Jayant Yadav as left field selection!?? I guess selectors did not provide Kuldeep Yadav in the first place, if they wanted third spinner? So - message to selectors.

Hopefully it's not a similar case to Gurkeerat Mann who was selected as an all rounder in ODIs but he ended up bowling the most friendly lollipops I've seen in a long time.

He reminds me of 90s spinners like Sunil Joshi, Rajesh Chauhan, Venkatapathy Raju, Nilesh Kulkarni. They bowl at a slower pace with not enough revs and dont have many variations either and look quite harmless to be honest. Their job is to flight the ball and keep it tight and let the batsman make a mistake or hope pitch helps with turn or bounce.
